Hey guys, I've been doing a lot of music recently and thought I'd share one of my recent projects with ya'll!
For those who like lofi, jazz hip-hop, Nujabes type music.

Thought I’d try and revive this thread as this is an amazing jacket and has literally been my go to for autumn / cool weather since having been gifted by G&P. This is probably the best photo I have of it considering the good lighting during the rehearsal and the quality of the camera. I usually leave the sleeves rolled up as the cuffs are bit wide for me but it works perfectly and has been fading really nicely. Love layering this on top of a hoodie or fitted sweater.
Will try and get a photo of just the jacket itself in good lighting so people can properly see how it looks after 2 years of constant wear and 1 wash…

RE: Music
@Peter Sorry for the delay in response, there's been a bit of traveling on my part..
It's been years since I checked out the metal scene to be honest. Sorceress and Hardwired (which I have yet to check out still) were the only 2 metal albums that I really looked forward to/ knew about in 2016. Definitely will check out In Memoriam, it seems that the response has been extremely positive. I think when I was at my peak of metal consumption (back in 2005/2006) I was listening to alot of Between the Buried and Me, Mastodon, Cryptopsy, Vital Remains, Slayer, Metallica, Immortal and Emperor (just to name a few haha).
I picked up the cello when I was 5 and taught myself guitar at 11; being classically trained I always tell people who shrug metal off as just 'loud and aggressive music' to at least appreciate the rhythms of the melodies. I think that was my thing with Slayer. Even though Kerry King would literally be maniacally playing the guitar on an open string for 3/4 of the song, you could tell that it was really the drummer Dave Lombardo who was placing the team on his back for alot of the tracks… But again haha that's just me.

RE: Patrick's IH Adventure (2016 Intern)
Time for the sentimental post.
Well guys, this is it. It's officially my last day working as a full time member of Iron Heart UK.
It's amazing how quickly one year passes us by.. and it really seems like it was just yesterday when I first flew into the UK back in January 2016 and almost got denied entry because I told the Border Patrol that I was looking into possibly working in the UK on a visitor's visa… My girlfriend was facepalming the hell out of her self as she saw me dig a bigger and bigger hole for myself as I told them about my life ambitions.. But in the end they let me in anyways and out of that experience, I am now much more mature in my ways hahaha. :p
I want to personally thank @Madame Buttonfly and @Giles for putting up with me through all the emails, official visa crap, your always lovely hospitality (more Paula than G at this point tbh) and for giving me the opportunity to spend such an amazing year working at an even more amazing company. I’ve never had (nor do I think I ever will again) such amazing bosses to work for. Thanks for always trusting in my decisions to do things certain ways and in my creative contributions for the company, hopefully I’ve made you both proud!
Shoutout to @Sam for always taking photos whenever I needed them, teaching me the true meaning of being a PHOTOGRAPHER and model, for all of our adventures while making videos and modeling… We gotta send our modelling shots to GQ. Thanks for always being so smiley cheerful and shit even when it is straight up 9am on a Monday morning... It’s much needed and appreciated through this gloomy ass English weather. Another shoutout sent out to @Winchy for always looking out for me and always being so calm and cool even when shit hits the fan.. usually by my own doing hahaha. I do like to think I have a greater appreciation for 80's music now (as well as the all great David Holmes), and will try my best to listen to my albums in WAV files from now on…. It's been a pleasure working with you both and thank you for everything you’ve done for me. Please know that through everything we’ve experienced together this year, I do consider you two as my big older white British brothers. Do look after @Lindsey, and I know you guys will achieve amazing things.
For everyone else, thanks for supporting this little adventure of mine and keeping updated on this little thread I made. From first learning how to chainstitch, to being able to fly out to Berlin for Burg & Schild's Party, learning about the ins and outs of the business, slaving with everyone to create a Boule Court and so much more, it's truly been quite the experience. It's been real, like really real, but here's to an even more amazing 2017. Iron Heart 4evaaaa and stay stubborn.
Here’s a piece of art I made that speaks volumes about family, love, friendship and never ever giving up on your dreams. It’s the next Picasso /Leonardo da Vinci I honestly do believe.
That it for now.

RE: Music
@Peter I've been listening to the album on repeat this past week and have got to say, the transitions between the songs are amazing. I especially love acoustic passages and the Madrigal-Amen Corner-Demon of the Fall transitions, it's epic. The production also reminds me very much of black metal albums I used to listen to quite a lot (Emperor, Darkthrone, Immortal etc.) so that was a nice touch.
I completely agree about looking forward to certain aspects of a song for Opeth.. That's what I love so much about Deliverance!! This is obviously a super subjective opinion, but the way Opeth is able to juggle pure brutality and such elegance through masterful songwriting really makes me consider their music to be 'art'. As as musician myself, I don't throw that term around lightly…

RE: Music
@Peter Haha that's a great tag to have.. If only we could get the dog tag machine back up and running….
I recently purchased Still Life and it's amazing. The Moore is such an intense track, it's gotta be one of my favourites now. Just because you went to the extent of tattooing your own created verses on your ribs based on My Arms Your Hearse, I had to buy the album. It shall be delivered to me today and I will give you my thoughts on it soon.

RE: Music
Ah, that's amazing @Peter! I think Opeth may be mine as well… Deliverance was the first album I ever bought and is hands down my favourite album by them.
The first time I saw them live was at the Mayan in Los Angeles, but they were supporting their Heritage album at the time so it was an all acoustic set with no 'heavy' riffage and/or growling.
When I learned they were playing the special Deliverance / Damnation set at the SSE Wembley in London back in November, I knew i HAD to go. When they finally finished with Deliverance... I could die happy. If only they were able to perform 'Leper Affinity' it would have been a perfect concert for me... but cest la vie. I could go on about them, but I'll stop for now in case I get a bit too enthusiastic for my own good...

RE: The Twelve Iron Heart Days of Christmas 2016…...
That's nothing - tomorrow all jeans'll be free!.. To qualify for the free jeans, you have to PM Giles the following sentence:
"You're a beautiful man and I would like to make love to you in the jacuzzi."
@Seul I fucking died hahaha
