@Oaktavia please tell me you looked in your sock drawer and picked out that pair specifically to match your IH bag

RE: IHJ-100-BLU - Quilted Light Parka - Blue
Lived in this thing all weekend through rain, hail, snow, and beer in Sequoia national park. Such a phenomenal jacket! I hope to see it come back in other colors this year.

RE: Y’2 Leathers….
This is my first leather piece EVER! Y'2 Leathers x The Shop Vancouver. Absolutely over the moon about it!
I'm a huge fan of chore coats but they tend to be roomy. This one fits so perfectly!

RE: IHJ-124-BRN - 10oz Herringbone Work Jacket - Brown
Just got mine!
Okay, great cut on this jacket; it's trim. I was actually surprised to find that it is not the same color as the brown duck, which, maybe stupidly, is what I was expecting. It's like the color of brown duck mixed with olive. I tried to capture the color with multiple cameras but it's just not working. Regardless, it's lovely.
Here's a picture of it worn:
And here's a not-quite-accurate picture of its color compared to the IH-2526J. It's more green than this, but you can see that they're different:

Anyone know any online tailors that could shorten these sleeves? I reallllllly love this jacket but my T-Rex arms just won’t abide. My tailor won’t touch snaps.
I have a feeling the sleeves won't end up being as long as you're afraid they will be. The fabric will bunch up a little bit.
That said, The Iron Heart Kojima IG account has this post in which one of the guys cuffed the sleeves, and I think it looks awesome!

RE: IHM-43-NAV - Nylon Type L-2B Flight Jacket - Navy Blue
@Neru-6 said in IHM-43-NAV - Nylon Type L-2B Flight Jacket - Navy Blue:
Hey question for those who got this beauty, is it warm ? Cause I need something that keeps warm between lightweight and my N1.
I'm not a straight answer sorta guy so apologies in advance for my rambling
It's been about 63F at night where I live. I took this jacket out for an evening stroll, just over a t-shirt. At first, it was perfect, not too cold, not too warm. However, after about 1 mile, I got pretty warm and had to take it off.
While it's much lighter than the N1 and not initially as warm, it insulates MUCH better, so if you're doing something active, you might find yourself overheating in this compared to the N1.
Hope that helps!

RE: Parenting
I'm trying to figure out if parenting falls into "Hobbies" or "Pastimes" Seriously though, good idea for a thread!
I have one that took me too long to learn, that is possibly related to @Matt 's "I need a timeout" post. Make sure that your kids learn that you are not super-human. Make sure that they know that you also have bad days, and that you also go through tough times, and that that's okay. If or when they are blessed with their own kids later in life, and they're going through a hard time with them, they won't think that they're bad parents, they'll remember that they're human like you.
I had a friend who struggled with depression in his twenties. When he finally spoke with his mother about it, she revealed that she had always struggled with depression but didn't want him to know. Had he known, he could have shared his struggles with her and felt much less alone in that battle.

Yeah, those are beautiful!
Handmade garments that come from natural materials are going to be unique and may lack that perfect symmetry that you see in the mass-produced stuff.

Okay, this was a tough call! I'm leaning towards the medium because I think it looks much better over a T but still works over a UHF, though buttoning is a little tighter.
Here's the medium over a T:
Here's the large over a T:

RE: IH-888S-142ii - 14oz Selvedge Denim Mid/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Indigo/Ind
Took a while to pick them up. Hemmed and hawed. "14oz Iron Heart denim? I don't know...I like my Iron Heart denim HEAVY!" Well, spoiler: they're wonderful
This indigo is SO deep! Great fit, too. After about 14 hours, I took the waist from 30.2 - 30.5" and the thigh from 12.1 - 12.3".
Here are some fit pics and a pic of the lovely crocking on my newish Chucks. I love denim crocking!

RE: RAWscore - the hit or miss fit and combo space
There probably are wrong ways to wear a type III, but this ain't one of them
It all comes down to personal preference. That said, if I saw you on the street, I wouldn't point and laugh, i would give you a high five and compliment you on your phenomenal taste in denim jackets.
If you're comfortable, I can attest that it looks great!
Besides, everyone is going to be too distracted by your amazing hair to realize you're even wearing a jacket

RE: IH-633S - Self Edge x Iron Heart 21oz Selvedge Straight Tapered
Let me chime in so that I can comfort and confuse you all at once!
It sounds like we might be in a similar boat. My waist is comfortable but my thigh is always tight. Not painted-on tight, but tight. Now, if you size up, the waist will be too big and you get a little more of the diaper effect in the crotch and butt areas. This is especially problematic if you like to tuck in your shirt like I do.
The thigh does stretch. I'm having trouble finding notes for stretch on my personal 21oz indigo, but I have notes that show the thigh stretching from 12.25" to 12.75" on the IH-888S-OD.
Obviously, it's up to you. I think that you might be unhappy with the top block if you size up. If you can try a size up without too much hassle, that might be your best bet. Just know that the 21oz denim is pretty stretchy where it needs to move.
You could also try the 888 cut, which is what I use now, to get a tiny bit more room in the thigh, or the 1955 cut, if you don't need the taper.
Edit -- Additional thoughts
I should add that, in my personal experience, if the denim isn't at least a little snug on the first wear, you probably should've sized down. That's the great thing about denim, you know? It stretches to you. Each pair becomes personalized. But, it can't stretch to you if it's already bigger than you.
That having been said, I see the styles online going to bigger and boxier fits. That's not my style but I see the appeal. If you also prefer a trimmer fit, you may want to stick with what you've got.
