RE: Show us your boots
My first Iron Rangers lasted 8 years, second 4, third 2 years with numerous resoles. My cobbler confirmed that quality has been deteriorating and some new boots now look like factory seconds.
I was ready to pull the trigger on some custom Wesco's when a local recommended Grant Stone. Went with the waxed commander. https://www.grantstoneshoes.com/products/diesel-boot-natural-waxed-commander
Quality is two ticks better than IR, one tick better than Alden Indy's. Very pleased after 130 miles through winter and spring. These come with a vibram lugged sole that is a bit more rugged than IR with suits me using them almost exclusively in the woods in mud and snow.
PS: I am quite hard on my boots so the experience of the city dwellers with IRs could be much better.

RE: IH-888-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans - Ind/blk
to hem or not to hem???
Always hem @Bums_Fan.
I am hard on my jeans and the the folds are always the first thing to get very thin and rip. Hemming increases longevity for me.

Plus they were unhemmed and I think 634 looks better hemmed. This is how they should fit. Turns out even though I'm 6'3" I have tiny legs as my inseam is 30".
Perfect.
Complete agree on 634 unhemmed. My main issue with hemming is that is designated failure point for ripping / tearing / wearing out.
Guess I should stop whining about 30" inseam while being 5'11.

RE: IH-633S - Self Edge x Iron Heart 21oz Selvedge Straight Tapered
size down? they look too tight right now (whole pelvic area under stress), but should be good since they will give about an inch.
666 won't work because of thighs. 888 you likely won't like because of rise.

RE: IH-633S - Self Edge x Iron Heart 21oz Selvedge Straight Tapered
@Mindfulbiscuit makes complete sense. I also have to size up 666 to make them work in the thighs but then the waist gets to wide. So I don't bother with those anymore and stick with 633/4 and 888. Interested in trying the 1955 though - any experience with them?

@Brock
Love the Smeltzer. There is something about the aesthetic of skinny steel tubes, horizontal top bars and fat tires that speaks to me.@Denimhead-0
We share some of the same bikes. Also ride a RS (and have ridden with Richie a few times) and a couple Rivs, EM etc. -

@pechelman You are right on with your command. I wear mine for taking down trees and clearing trails in the winter. When it is under -10 C the air is dry and it is rarely windy. Tech fibers don't work when exercising in the cold ( < -10C), simple physics.
