Sorry the launch was so rough, but I'm glad I got a XXL. I had been planning on a work shirt flannel this year, but this color was too good to pass up.

RE: IHSH-399-ORA - 12oz Slubby Heavy Flannel Check Western Shirt - Orange
Mine arrived today. Great as expected. I really like the new fabric, the contrast between the super soft, fuzzy interior and the tougher, slicker exterior is very cool.
Unfortunately it's 84 degrees outside right now, so not a great time to actually wear it.

RE: IHWE-MRLOU-BLK - Wesco® - 10" Horsehide Pull-On "Mister Lou" Engineer Boot - Black
I that the same problem as some others with my big toes touching the top of the boot uncomfortably. I tried just taking out the insoles, and it was better, but I preferred the feel on the rest of my foot with them in, so... I just sliced off the front of the stock insoles right behind where the toes are. I figured, new inserts direct from Wesco are cheap, so might as well give it a shot. It worked great. I could see being bothered by the abrupt feel of it, but it would be easy enough to sand it or bevel it with a utility knife or something.

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
Not sure if I should post this here or somewhere else, but:
I've been a long time fan of iconic shoe/boot styles. Doc Martens, Converse, Vans; Red Wings (I have a pair of Red Wing Gentleman Travelers before they made their heritage line), Wesco (I have a 20 year old custom pair that, to my eternal regret, I had made without straps).
A while back, I made the terrible mistake of getting a pair of wide toe-box shoes from Lems. It's one of the "shaped like a foot" variety of shoes. It turns out that this is wildly more comfortable than other shoe shapes, and now I'm annoyed wearing anything else. The bad part is that the shoes look bad, and don't have any of the appeal in terms of materials or construction that the stuff I've liked for years has.
The question: is there anyone out there making high-quality footwear that has a wider toe box? (Not a wide-width shoe, just shaped in a way that lets your toes spread out.) Does anyone else suffer from this same problem?
