Dayum! It's chilly. Getting down to 51 F tonight while we will be raging a bachelor party.
Hmmm. I wonder what boots I will wear today.
And it seems like I'm close enough to Canada to wear the national uniform…
I dunno too much denim?
Naaaah. Strippers love denim.
outfit comes together well!

RE: Mister Freedom
8 weeks isn't too bad. The last pair I had to sell because they were just a hair too small. One of the biggest regrets of my life but if they don't work, they don't work…

RE: Show us your boots
yes, they are some of the best boots out there. Im a fan of the slim silhouette boot and these break in so nicely.

RE: IHF-2011 - The 2011 Forum t-shirt
the current version still looks really good. Always a fan of black tees!

RE: Los Angeles, CA (USA)
really? Wow, didn't even know it. The Fashion Island one is great. Stocked with vintage jackets and leathers (some albeit overpriced) but they also carrie numerous modern brands. The décor is also really cool. Vintage machines and bins full of rivets, metalwork etc. Not to mention the overlooking ocean view is awesome as well.

RE: ROY
Like a dovetail jointed drawer in a chest. May not see the detail, and even when seen may only be appreciated by a purist… But carries a sense of satisfaction to the purist who owns it. The glued butt joint gets the job done with less required skill and effort, but it runs against the aesthetic of quality construction and the hidden details that indicate it.
well said.

RE: IH Messenger Bags (IHE-01, IHE-02, IHE-05, IHE-07)
simplistic and modern. Like it. No bells and whistles. I had a Belstaff 554 but it just had "to much going on" so I parted with it.

RE: Los Angeles, CA (USA)
also American Rag in Costa Mesa. They have a denim bar there with loads of different brands. Of course it not a self edge by any means but for those located more in SoCal, its a good place to start!

RE: Kapital
Kapital is one of those brands I wish more people knew about. I have one of the chore coats and its like a second skin. Ive actually don't chores in it lol. Havent had a chance to pick up a pair of their jeans yet but I will soon. Great hefty denim with superb feel.

RE: ROY
Thanks urb. I interpret your post as they are nothing special. Do yo like them?
Solid construction and tons of details, like with all his garments. But at the end of the day I really don't care about details that aren't visible or add to the construction. You can find American made pants, shirts AND jackets in this same material from at least 2-3 companies that I can think of. All for like $100-150 less. So, it's just up to you and how much you care about certain details. The material is very cool. It fades nicely and very quickly. It's probably been 6 months since I've worn mine though.
I hear ya on this. I bought a pair of Roy's simply because of the American made ideal he follows. Great pair of jeans, simplistic and minimalist. Only a denim purist would be able to spot these but when one does, its a great feeling that overcomes any feelings on doubting the value of paying extra for the miniscule details. Always worth it in the end.

awesome outfit. Seems very utilitarian. Just a little too "pristine" for my taste, im sure with wear it will break in nice!

RE: Introduce Yourself Here
Hey Everyone
Returningson here. Pretty well known member on several boards found across the net including styleforum, filmjackets, denimblog as well as others.
Just joined because I recently fell in love with Iron Hearts collab with Aero in their stunning FQHH (if you are looking to sell one of these in size 36-40R, hit me up!). As for jeans, I only have one pair of Iron heart and they are a great pair. Also a fan of Nudie (specifically the Grim Timm or Slim Jim fits) as well as APC. Im primarily a big fan of leathers so when I saw the Aero/Iron heart collab I was drawn to the board. Any questions on leather jackets, im your man.
