RE: matt_rost's Leatherworks
@matt_rost I hadn't considered making a jacket, but I saw someone post pics online of the jacket that they made, and I thought I could do better. I put my money where my mouth was and went for it. You can totally do it!

RE: Movies
@mclaincausey Probably best to leave the old movies alone and let them live in a happy place in our memories. Last year, my wife wanted to watch some classic Christmas movie she'd never seen, and we shut it off when they busted out the blackface.

RE: Movies
I rewatched Wayne's World yesterday, as it's been more than two decades since I've seen it. It was highly quotable, but it didn't hold up all that well. I'm not surprised but I'm a little sad. Don't be like me. Let the old movies that were iconic parts of your youth stay as memories.

@Mizmazzle Dude, that sounds amazing. We did 12 days in Scotland last year. Hit me up if you want some travel tips!

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
@GraemeE from what I’ve read, it’s one of their best live performances that’s been released. And as far as I know, it’s only available on vinyl. If that’s true, it’s going to be pretty special.
The pitchfork recording is phenomenal. Have you seen it?

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
Oh nice! I'll have to check that out. Thanks!
So, I was gifted a $50 Target gift card and wasn't sure what to get with it. then I remembered they sell vinyl. I picked up these two, and blew my budget by $1.12. Score! :

RE: Random questions to which you seek an answer
@Mizmazzle Can confirm. I've done tie-dying and garment dying with their stuff, and it's very high quality.

RE: Gosport (UK)
@goosehd It was meant as a compliment for sure! I love how tidy you keep things around here.

RE: Wax Treasure (Vinyl)
@Mizmazzle These are way more exciting than the Barbara Streisand, Peanuts, and Bing Crosby albums that we have

RE: matt_rost's Leatherworks
@matt_rost I found a vintage 1970s pattern for a type III that I had to modify to my taste and for leather, as the pattern was developed for fabric. The body needed to be longer, the sleeves longer, and the arm holes higher. I also modified the shape and size of the collar to make it look more modern. To convert a pattern from fabric to leather, you need to add about 1.25cm of stitch allowance to all of the seams. This accounts for the leather thickness. Also, the leather at every seam needs to be skived, or it'll be too thick. I should take some new pics of the jacket. It even has custom ZeeBee buttons on it now You can see more of my work on my website and instagram.

RE: ZeeBee Leather
@popvulture that’s kind of my specialty. Checking those boxes!

RE: matt_rost's Leatherworks
@matt_rost I’m fairly active with the forum, but I don’t post very much about my leather.
If you’re picky about anything, I’m glad it’s stitching.
