@popvulture K-line is new to me and just looked them up…St Louis! They look really nice and I’ll have to dig into them. I agree the “closet classic” look is the sweet spot for me too. I have a 50th Anniversary Masterbuilt strat (Todd Krause) that has that look. I’ll get some pics of it and throw them in the mix here when I can.

I do love properly “reliced” guitars and have pined for a long time for a Whitfill custom T. He makes great looking and sounding (from what I’ve seen and read) guitars

One more thing (cause I know we’re all into the details) I really like the 8 hole, double ply pickguard on yours, prefer it actually over the vintage 5 hole mine has (which is way warped)

@popvulture technically mine is a “Fender American Vintage Thin Skin ‘59 Tele”. It has custom shop “NoCaster” pickups. I’ve had it since 2011. The only thing I might change is that it has those high 6105 frets which take some getting used to. My other tele is an American Vintage ‘52 Reissue which has the lower vintage frets. Anyway love the tele faction here! @GraemeE

Edit: and looking at the spec sheet, it weighs 8.23 lbs someday I may just get a saw and cut off a couple pounds

Also my greatest wish is that mine magically weighed 6.5 lbs.

@chillmonroe Amazing. Amazing story how you acquired it. Amazing instrument with incredible sound. And beautiful playing. Just an absolute grail guitar. Did it need much in terms of setup by your luthier after you bought it? Neck reset? I’m just in awe here. Thanks for posting about it

@Nick oh that’s a cool backstory. I reread Stoker’s Dracula a couple years ago and actually really like Coppola’s movie version but have never seen the original Nosferatu. Wonder if I should try before seeing this new one
