Really sorry he had to go, like for many here he was a friend I’d never met in person.
On to new adventures, good buddy, you’ll no doubt have improved the path we find when it’s our time to follow.

So I saw these in the flesh this weekend. The line-up is pretty freakin amazing. DR's location is also freakin amazing and it's not even close to done. Just a great weekend meeting some great folks who all happen to like high-quality garments.
No pics of any of the fox brother's garments will do them justice. The material on all of them is special in a way that needs to be felt/worn. Really what struck me about this line-up in general is the sheer range of materials! Dobby, double-cloth, herringbones, broken twill, overdye, oiled… It was almost dizzying.
As I said over in random questions, wife and I RSVP'd for both days (including dinner). I'm also in MD, and we've been looking for a weekend trip away and this lined up well at work. Intrigued by the destination-retail concept and wanted to check it out first-hand since the IH podcast. Staying a Quirk, per DR recommendation.
I didn't see anything in the Meet-ups & Travel section on the IH visit to Charlottesville, VA that Division Road just announced. Did I miss it somewhere? Anyway, I've RSVP'd yes…
Congrats on the new kid!
Sun was low and coming in through the window the other day.

Too excited to button fully! Plus some shots of the unbrushed flannel family tree.

How's everyone like the fabric on this? I don't have any 9oz flannels but love the 7oz blue I picked up last year
Seems like you’re already off the fence, but IMHO these 9oz unbrushed flannels are Iron Heart’s most special releases. Don’t get me wrong, the UHFs are amazing, but I feel like the second place contender for the UHF slot in my wardrobe would come pretty close. There’s no comparable shirt to these custom patterns (often including rope-dyed indigo) in a substantial but versatile weight. Again YMMV, but for me these are not to be missed.
The in the wild pics of this one are going to make people kick themselves for missing out.

Copped. Can’t turn down a new 9oz unbrushed work shirt.
…@tvenuto when did you order your boots? Ordered mine on March 4th and I'm still waiting.
...I WANT MY BOOTS!
Yea, mine were ordered mid-march as well. They already had the custom last on file with mine if that makes any difference. It was tough to wait but realistically I wouldn't have worn them all that much in hot weather.
It's worth remembering that any production business has options to deal with internal or external issues. They could have hired new help and let them work on customer boots faster than normal, or even outsourced certain processes and just done finishing work in-house. They focused on the highest margin orders, which may have resulted in pausing the MTO program. I appreciate that they've decided to just hold to their business and quality, and let the lead times do what they need to do.
Just in after a long wait. Custom Wesco Jo….hendriks? Charcoal smooth Hendriks with heel counter deleted (like the Johannes). Pictured with burlap rough-out Warrens. Because I know people will ask:

Yea I’ve got emails out to the stockists listed on OP. Fingers crossed but we’re spoiled and there’s always something essential waiting down the line.
Wow XXXL sold out in 1 minute. I was on and logged in and still got out-clicked. Hoping for a future restock
This kind of thing is ubiquitous in the US at this point. Nuts may contain nuts and all that…
I had what's called a biceps tenodesis with the subacromial decompression (which I'm pretty sure most docs just do while they're in there). My labrum was tearing at the long biceps head insertion, so this is a fix for that. I was late 20s at the time, doc said that if I was in my 50s or 60s they'd just let it tear completely off and my bicep would look funny, and wrist rotation (turning a doorknob) would be slightly weaker. I tried to work around it for a while, but I was running a gym at the time, and it would get like 80% better with rest, and go back to painful as soon as I stressed it at all which was annoying.
Recovery was fine, and they did a good job with the length so both biceps look the same. I went off pain meds after 36hrs because I wanted to drink at a friend's wedding and it wasn't too terrible. Took a while to stop sympathetically lifting things with the recovering arm since it was my dominant hand, but once I stopped doing that recovery was relatively pain-free. Brushing your teeth with your non-dominant hand is maddening so I switched to an electric toothbrush and really glad I did, they're so much better. Overall very happy with the outcome.
Congrats on that. We all need to de-stress and blocking the quiet but constant beckoning of social media is a great way to do it.
