Hello, first time waywt post. IHSH13 chambray, brand spankin new. 666, the 18-oz variety. UES hickory cap to top it all off on a dreary Appalachian day. I wouldn’t be disappointed if the chambray shrunk a bit in length when I wash it.

@sabergirl @endo Yup. This is on a portion of the Appalachian Trail inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Right on the TN-NC border. One of the few natural places around that hasn’t been mined, developed, or otherwise destroyed.

Just laying on the couch and noticed this fabric has ripples like horsehide footwear gets! Only about 3 days of wear on these jeans though, so the ripple effect may not persist. Very interesting and very rigid fabric so far!

Hi, I’m selling my UES 400 ST jeans. Asking usd $100 shipped in the US, foreign shipping is fine if you pay. PayPal F&F, no returns.

The jeans have been worn casually 42 times with one wash (after the 42nd day of wear). I say “casually” because I beat the hell out of my work jeans, and these are not my work jeans. They’re In great shape with some fading beginning in the usual spots.

UES is a Japanese company known for their flannels but their denim is great too. It is 15 oz fabric iirc. Oooh, actually 14.9 oz per their website.

The fit is a slim taper with a very low rise. I’m short and I typically don’t cuff so these are hemmed to 28”. Unloading them just to thin my herd a bit (ahem prepping for upcoming IH 19L releases ahem). Let me know if you have any ?s or need additional photos.

Measurements in inches, Iron Heart way:

• Waist: 32” (was 33 before wash, will likely stretch there again)
• Front rise: 10
• Back rise: 13
• Thigh: 12
• Knee: 8.25
• Hem: 7.25
• Inseam: 28 –chainstitch hemmed by the excellent team at Railcar Fine Goods
• Hip 22 (3” up from crotch seam)

@drkevy Great first IH piece! I’ve had my eye on this shirt for a while but can’t justify the purchase right now. My chainstitch runoffs always go bye bye quickly, I’m just not a fan of the look, but others are. Horses for courses.

If I may offer a piece of unsolicited advice about buying IH jeans (or any other jeans, really), it’s this: measure your current jeans and understand the relationship between rise and waist size. All the sizing mistakes I’ve made have related to this.
