@neph93, I'm somewhat the reverse of vigilant- originally from North Carolina, now living in Texas. His move was the smarter choice.

Welcome, @vigilant, by the way.  I always liked Wilmington, though I haven't been there in forever. My grandfather used to own a shack in Wrightsville Beach, and I have find memories of going there in the summer when I was a kid.

Man that was probably a great experience. I’m loving the ocean after being landlocked all these years. (No the Texas Gulf doesn’t count in my eyes)

Nice…my fiancée went to UNCW. Her dad lives in Kure Beach and we visit several times a year. Love it down there.

Compared to Texas I love it, perma vacay hits the nail on the head. Kure Beach is great, my wife and I frequent that area plenty.
