@popvulture Definitely right call on the long. Especially if you are used to iron heart shirts.

RE: Ship John
I have the unlined wills as well as this new lined ramblin vest. I love my wills and will not be upgrading, however if I had to choose between old design and new I would pick the new wills. The unlined waxed jacket feels wet anytime I wear it with just a t shirt until it warms up. Also, the double zipper is a big upgrade, anytime I sit I have to un-zip and then button up without the bottom button.

Anyone else snag one of the Ramblin Vests from the scratch and dent section? These things are tanks. The only design issue I can see Mike having is the hand warmer pockets are kind of a PITA to get your hand in when new. I think they will relax after a few wears though.

RE: Dehen
Thank you guys for the info! I will definitely be on the lookout for a makeup I like.
@northeastwear - I understand what you are saying about the collar, I think the darker the color the less fancy it looks. I like your brown.

@Bfd70 Please let us know your thoughts and sizing of the N1 once you receive and have had it for long enough to form an opinion. I have been eyeing one of those beasts up for a while but have never seen one in the wild or a review.

RE: IH-888S-UHR - 21/23oz Ultra Heavy Raw Selvedge Denim High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans
Luckily I held off on the initial purchase of these and was able to use all of the pre/post measurements on this forum to make an informed size purchase. I ended up purchasing stateside and going true to size, with the waist coming in about 1/2 inch smaller than posted. (One great thing about purchasing from IH direct is being able to spec out those tiny details!).
My initial impression was “cardboard” compared to my 25s and 25bb. I warm soaked and then cold washed and hung to dry. I managed about an inch in shrink in the waist which I was a bit worried about. These things were crispy AF when they were done drying. I could literally hold them sideways and the legs stayed shape as I hope you can see below…
After turning them inside out, which took an effort, I was amazed by how much softer they already became. I put them on, buttoned up my muffin top, and within 10 minutes of walking around and squating they stretched back to original and then some. I think these may be the best fitting out of the bag of the 8 pairs of IH jeans I have. Anyway, long winded way to say I appreciate all the info gathered on this forum!!!

RE: IRON HEART FORUM "HOMETOWN HEROES" PICTURE COMPETITION - SPRING 2022
Hey all,
I have been a lurker for about a year, and figure this is a good time to step out of the shadows! My family and I moved onto a 40 acre farmstead in central Pennsylvania, USA at the beginning of 2020 right before the world shut down(what luck). I have been demolishing/renovating the house, along with clearing and exploring the land since. This move lead to researching rugged, heavy duty clothing. I stumbled onto this forum and the Iron Heart rabbit hole. After 13 shirts, 4 pairs of jeans, a few knits the rest is history…
Anyway, my property is tucked in a valley with a half mile gravel driveway that has a bridge over a creek before it heads to my bank barn and up to the main house. This family portrait was taken on said bridge, with my 3 year old daughter Magnolia giving everyone the one finger salute. I am wearing my pair of 555xhs in the photo.
