Thanks Lando, not sure that I've ever looked forward to an item this much
-
Sold my BR Deck coat, so funds are in place…..now to wait (im)patiently.
Good move sir! That thing is/ was so ill fitting! You will not be disappointed with this AT ALL!!!
QFT. This is my favorite piece of clothing by far.

yeah, i just took it out of the closet and looked at it yesterday. for like 3 minutes i just stared at it and thought about how bad ass it is.

ha, funny you say that I just did the same with my black IHW-01 a few days ago. It's one of those items that makes me want colder weather.

This with a Tshirt on a socal Late fall/winter evening will be perfect.
-
agree with riff
-
in NY right now, it is cool enough to justify wearing this . . . .
that charcoal is going to cause alot of friendships to end & blood to be spilled.

Indeed!!! I wore mine to work and wore it all day Friday. Last night IH Heavyweight Flannel and IH-9634's. LOVE THIS WEATHER!!! Bring on the Charcoal Haraki-San. The time is NOW!~

cooler days are ahead

I think Lando's peer-pressured me into wanting to cop…Fuck you, you big bully.
There is more where that came from! Just say you are on the fence again and the bully will come back out.

Has this shirt softened up a lot for you guys with wear? I know this wool isn't as rough as the IHW02 but the 02 can be pretty itchy on the arms without a llong sleeve underneeath.
Not really softened for me, and a wee bit itchy without long sleeves. FABULOUS piece of schmatte
-
Not to scare anyone, but when I got this last year, I ordered a medium, and the sizing was closer to a small. I would suggest for people between sizes to go for the larger size.
-
well jb, i wouldn't say it's softened up, but it was really comfortable to begin with. i washed mine twice (at the end of each of the cold seasons) on delicate cycle & laid flat to dry & it seems to have held up very well. no lint balls or discoloration. the parts that are lined with that cotton have faded a little with wear, but you wouldn't notice unless you are really, really looking it over. the new ones have that satin like lining so it will be interesting to see how that part wears.
that cement/pigeon/gunmetal grey is going to sell so damn fast . . .
-
I would say they fit true to size. I can even wear my medium over a standard medium flannel.
Mine hasn't softened. It was never stiff like a denim jacket but it will never be soft like a flannel.
I always wear a shirt under it so I can't comment on itchiness.
-
i'm with you DrPat, the 1st edition was true to size & i wear mine (xxl) over various sized shirts.
with that said, thomasnunnally is 100% right. if between sizes (i would)size up to avoid heart break. by the time you return yours & expect your size to still be available it is likely to be gone. some iron heart items stick around for a little while, but these have always flown out the doors pretty quickly.
