Things That Make People Stop and Ask

@tfar:
A random guy knows IH?
Well, not just a random guy I guess. He told me he knew Kiya and that a while ago he had been used as a model for Self Edge. Seemed like a really cool guy who had good style. Also, SF is a small city so if you are at all fashion conscious here certain people, lines, stores stick out in the crowd.

That explains it. Thanks! Unless I meet with one or two friends from the fashion design school days, nobody ever knows what I'm wearing. I like that, actually. The only exception would be if logos or patterns are obvious, e.g. Burberry trench, Barbour, Belstaff. Funny that all those are British and it's the British who should be into understatement.
I get comments on my Aero leather jacket and the Stone Island nylon bomber I wear in the photo. But nobody ever comes and says "Man, I love that Longshoreman jacket!".

I know but they kept the flag label and design philosophy.
True and also the English made and designed inner label confusingly.

i get a bunch of comments on my -16 and -08 because they look tough as nails
dita grandmaster iis get a lot too, normally because they absolutely dominate my face (and thus conversation - normally kickstarts another round of everyone trying them on*)
the jackets i got from landon - especially the lambskin one, mainly because of the intoxicating aroma
the other week i had my saddleback out at a bar, and a couple of girls were poking fun at me for having such a heavy bag and scrawny shoulders that couldn't support it. i wasn't going down that easy so i fireman carried them both outside to the smoking section*when your script is as strong as mine, this can spawn new games in themselves. one night a bunch of people played the "wear steve's glasses down a set of stairs without breaking your ankle" game. everyone won, but there were some bruised butts

been wearing my 526J the past couple of days & have been stopped by folks that wanted to have a better look at it & ask a few questions.
guess they have good taste

I was asked about some Samurai's I had on once…..apart from that only my Supreme box logo hoody and duffle bag
-
My 666ODs get compliments all the time and asked what type of jeans I am wearing. They voted me best dressed at work :D. I just say Iron heart when they ask for the price I tend to change topics :-X.
Other than that people have asked what Red wings I have and a pair of Nudies I used to wear.
-
My IHW-01's get compliments every time I wear them. Specifically the Charcoal because it stands out a bit more than the other two.
-
People do seem to notice the W-01 a bunch when I wear mine as well, I've been wearing one a bunch lately. Now that I think about it, I have gotten a compliment on the charcoal one most every time I have had it on.
32 red seems to be a close runner up.

My IH-811's - Wabash painter pants…......It may be because people are stunned to see me not wearing indigo jeans, but get positive comments every time I wear them
I've had people call them "special" or "crazy" not entirely sure if those were meant as compliments though …
-
^same here on heavy denim. Most people can't believe that these jeans are wearable.

A new part-timer at work once asked to me, "Are you wearing selvedge jeans?" as I crossed the main office. When I happily replied "yes!" she said, "You don't see those much in Berks County." The county I live in has an interesting populace comprised of old school Pennsylvania Dutch on one side & one of the poorest & most crime-ridden cities in the States on the other side. With a little bit of Jestre in the middle It still shocks me to this day that someone actually recognized a quality piece of denim.
