I live in this cold-ass motherfu(k@r. There's a place called Martin Patrick 3 that's a pretty nice (though expensive) mostly casual men's boutique. They carry some nice denim there, but obviously no IH. There are a LOT of good here restaurants these days. I'm a big fan of Borough and its downstairs craft cocktail bar Parlous. Another great bar is Marvel Bar. The barmen at these places are artists and can make whatever you want. The advantage of Parlour is they also have great food including maybe my favorite burger in the cities. There is also this burger called the Jucy Lucy that's a local legend, where they put cheese INSIDE the patty. Try Matt's bar, a dive with a hotplate that's probably been in action for decades, and that seasoning makes for some fine burgers even though they're nor exactly high quality patties or anything. All of these businesses except Matt's are in the North Loop neighborhood, which is great. Across the river from that is Nordeast, kind of a multi-ethnic neighborhood, mainly European. Lots of great dives there. I know this place very well and can gladly help anyone needing further pointers.

Just discovered a great boutique. They are a bit thin on some of the high end Japanese stuff but carry other brands like tellason, left field, etc, and best of all, have a chain stitcher. Just dropped some IH cargos off for hemming. Great friendly staff and an awesome collection.

This is a pretty decent weekend itinerary.
Of course, any forum members that ever wind up in my city have a willing and capable tour guide.

Leather Works Minnesota is worth stopping by, great people.
Also, 15 minutes from the airport is the brand new Twin Cities Premium Outlet in Eagan with a Filson Store that has some great deals on discontinued items or salesman samples (size M mostly) and therefore even one of a kind products (incl. bags). -
Never knew about the Filson Premium outlet.
Filson also recently opened a store in Minneapolis.

http://www.filson.com/filson-life/2014/06/filson-minneapolis/They told me about it at the Filson MSP store actually! It had just opened two weeks before I was there this September. Lucky me, I guess!
You can actually walk into the Shinola store through the back of the Filson store..pretty cool.
