Beautiful G, SD's are by far my favourite boot.

In a couple of months there will be, Gosport….But you'll need to be around a UK 9.5 or Japanese 27.

damn my large feet (UK 10 and wiiiide)

MOD, same as me. If you can get to Nottinghamshire you're welcome to try my SD's.
On a side note, I was just talking to a local cobbler and moaning about having to put my Whites away for the winter, due to their single leather sole. His solution was that if I take them to him, he will bond a Vibram Commando front sole to them, which I can use through the winter, and then he will remove it for me in the spring, for the bargain price of £30 !!
Is this a good idea?

G & Mega - cheers guys.

Shouldn't be a problem; the glue won't really do any damage to the leather sole if he's careful about removing the commando half sole. Sounds like a pretty good solution to me, as long as you trust your cobbler. A semi-competent hack could screw it up, but a good one should be fine.

I feel a White's Sale surge around the world…

Thanks Chris, I bought my SD's second hand for a really good price, and I was going to resole them at some point next year anyway. I think I'll give it a shot, will post pics when it's done.
Edit: Apologies MOD, I missed your earlier post about where I bought my SD's from…hopefully this has just answered it, ha ha.

Holy cow: just today I asked my local cobbler whether she had a solution for my Grensons to have more grip on wet and snowy surfaces and she recommended the Vibram Commando sole… I'll ask her whether she's able to make it a temp feat as well, then I'll most DEF do it!..
