Momotaro

@Max:
No problem.
Momotaro has four lines:- vintage: 15,7 oz denim, raw, slimmest 0701, widest 0901
- Going to battle: white stripes, same 15,7 oz denim but one-wash, slimmest 0705 SP, widest 0905 SP
- Copper label: 14,7 oz denim, one wash
- the fourth is the natural indigo model.
What you are looking for, ist the going to battle series, the SP indicates it. The cuts are similar to the vintage label, but like I said one wash and with a shorter inseam (35" opposed to 39,5" raw, 36,5" post-soak).
The 0905SP is the classic wide, the 0805Sp and 1005SP are tapered with a lower rise, the 0705SP is the slimmest and lowest rise.
Hope this helps.
Thanks a ton Max Power!
Few more questions though: The jeans I measured only have a 31.75' inseam, and I can cuff those (3/4 -1 inch cuff), so 35 is going to be quite long. You said the SP's are one wash, so much of the shrinking is accounted for?
What sort of shrinkage could I expect out of those in the inseam, as well as the waist etc…?Thanks again!
The 705SP is both sanforized and one-washed, so I doubt there's much shrinkage left in it.

@Max:
They don't stock them, but I was referring to the size chart. Rakuten is the way to go, maybe blue owl or BiG, context can do a special order, too.
What 'store' on rakuten. Theres tons of them, and the measurements on each one for the 0805's are varied, so not sure what size, or which 'store' on rakuten to go through.
-
Well, as i said, the measurements from nordicdenimhouse were the most precise to me. Even if everybody measures different and there are tolerances, you can chose your size out of this table and then order wherever you want.

I bought mine, a pair of the 905SP, from VARI on Rakuten. They're good about international orders and have someone who speaks fluent English to answer questions and emails.
I'd also highly recommend Blue In Green (Gordon) and Blue Owl (Jay). I've made purchases from both stores and Gordon and Jay are extremely helpful with questions and concerns. Pretty sure both would be happy to do a special order for anything you want that they don't have in stock; certainly worth asking. Regardless of who you choose, I'm sure you'll like the Momotaros.

At the risk of being boring and pissing everybody off - I took some more evo shots of my 0905SP, three more weeks in. Worn almost everyday since April 1st.
As I type I am preparing the first Evo shots of my SH-27, at least something new.

Yesterday I tried on a pair of 0705sp at the 14oz-store in Berlin. Really well done jeans, great fit but the price: 329€.
BIG sell them for 239€. Too bad that a want a pair now. -
what? I got mine at Burg und Schild for 200.- and my 0201 for 260 at Crämer&Co. Have a look at nordicdenimhouse: http://www.nordicdenimhouse.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=60

What´s the difference between 0701 and 0705sp? Same cut?
-
As another option I can recommend Blue Owl .
Fast replies and very reliable service from Jay. -

Pretty much; primary difference is that the 0701 is shrink to fit, while the 0705 is one wash. They're intended to be basically the same, though.

Yes, that's true.
Vintage Label= 15,7 oz, zimbabwe cotton, unsanforized
Going to war= same denim, but one-wash, painted backpockets, it's also said to have an "anti-leg-twist" treatment, however that works (it works on mine).And the Going to War Series also has a shorter inseam 35" oppopsed to approx. 36,5" of the Vintage label (comes with 39,5" raw).

The 0905sp is a loose fit model. If he wanted a tight fit, it would be better to choose a different model, like the 0805 or the 0705, rather than sizing down. The fit he has is exactly how those jeans are supposed to look.
I love the 0905, personally. I need to get the rip in the knee of mine fixed one of these days so I can start wearing them again.
-
not really. The 0905 / 0901 is intended to be a 1955s cut , so relaxed straight with a high rise, the 634S has a much lower rise, which makes the difference to me. But I wear my jeans much slimmer than you. Still I like the fit, even if mine is different
