Okay. Had to ask as I remember you saying it was a strong possibility a few months back. As for the surprise shipment, what's in it?!

I couldn't disagree more. I have every one of Rin Tanaka's books next to my desk, look at any page of vintage work shirts in virtually any of the books and there will be at least one example with asymmetric pockets.
Not saying that they're too everybody's taste, but I can't agree that they're trendy…..

think the "trendiness" can be attributed to the brands that have taken that specific aspect of vintage workwear & kind of ran amuck with it. tbh, i just know my dudes on the forum & knew a few of my ocd folks would have issue when they saw it the same can be said about the collar tabs that are meant to do . . . . god knows what
the difference in the pockets don't bother me, but i am an odd bird soooo that isn't saying much
the surprise hit is going to be the 3W denim shirt . . . . well not a surprise, but that shirt is going to fill a void for a lighter weight western shirt. it has no branding, great color & material, what more could you ask for. i'm happy with what i see so far & it is to the left as was promised for 3W.
now where are the short sleeves

Over-design is endemic in the clothes business at every level it seems now. Simple may be boring to make and buy, but it looks good to wear. Years ago, on the one day every couple of years I would shop for clothes, I used to go, on sale day of course, through racks and racks of shirts and trousers and sport jackets just looking, hoping for one w/o a lot of gewgaw. Just a simple sport jacket w/clean lines that I could get for $125 and didn't have to pay $600 for from Italy, where all the hi-end lines were clean. Just a pair of pants w/o odd belt loops and a weird clasp somewhere, or a shirt w/o some goofy notch on the cuff and so on. Not to mention fabric and design. Just construction alone sucked. For every 100 items there might be one simple plain well-made (maybe) thing.
Braver, bolder….there is a place for that I suppose for TW since IH has the positive attributes I refer to above covered nicely. But I'm w/Monday on a lot of this--of course, as he says, there's 99 of them, and one of us.
