Hi guys, I just got my pair today from SE and so far, so good. I actually went a size down to 28 because of the stretching I have been reading about. I am liking the fit so far as it's not too tight, but does fit pretty snug. It's actually roomier in the top block compared to my size 29 3001. I haven't started my actual wear as of yet since I am waiting on my OGL belt to minimize the stretching right from the beginning, but after a few times trying them on tonight, I am loving them! Yes, I tried them on multiple times because I wanted to see how they look and I just had to haha. These might actually overtake my 3001 as my most worn pair, even though I just started wearing them. I can't wait to see how these settle and how soft the denim gets!
Thanks IH!

Hey are the 301s or any of the 21oz denims difficult to have whiskers or any prominent creases set in because of how soft and their lack of rigidness? It seams like they will be less likely to develop fades on the usual stress points like say the 25oz denims
-
Sal see 2 examples on page 35 in this thread. from my understanding standard IH 21 oz denim take some time until it begins to fade but when it gets there then
Also the pair of twin developed really really nice, I never had a pair like this myself and still working hard on it. but man too many pants hahahaha

This all depends. If you wear a pair of skin tight 301S, you will see very high contrast, especially behind the knee. The 21oz Standard denim used is softer, more breathable, and less rigid than say your pair of 25oz. But don't get confused, as a 18oz like the IH-666S can also have a more rigid feel due to the fact that it is raw. There really are so many factors that change from person to person, denim to denim, fit to fit. I am sure people will add more to what I have said but if you want drastic fading you should wear the tightest, most rigid pair you can handle. I for one am not a fan of this idea, just putting it out there.
Also, there is always the whole dye/ overdye thing…@Dirty:

This is true (If sized similar in both denim. See above).
Feel free to point out my inaccuracies as I am sure there are a few.

SO TRUE. BE PATIENT. THERE IS NO RUSH. JUST JEANS.

No i dont mind..I have my xhs i treat like a pair of old navy jeans. I am becoming increasingly fond of jeans in their raw state and color so my 301s will be babied. I just wanted to know because they were such a surprise

^301s aren't raw?
-
Don't think so.. Till today, other than the 634-SR and 634S-RAW, all the 21oz and 25oz are sanforised selvedge denim.. Thus the 301S being 21oz should be sanforised selvedge. The raws are like the 666S and IHxB01-raw.
Not sure if I got it right but that's just what I gathered. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong.
