Moc Toe Oxford Options?
-
Hey Guys,
I'm feelin' the need to procure some oxfords, and I really like the RW 8100 series but I wanted to check with the "experts" to see if there are other options I might be missing. I found that Thorogood used to make some but they have been discontinued, so it would be some DS from eBay if I was lucky enough to find some in my size (US 12e just in case anyone has a source!).
The round toe oxfords don't do it for me, so if anyone has a hook on some moc toe goodness, please let me know! Thanks in advance for the help!

I might have a bias - I would recommend Oak Street Bootmakers

I love my OSB's, but they are very different than a pair of Red Wings.

Yes, I feel the same. I'm not taking anything away from the quality and craftsmanship of the OSB's, but I want something with more of a true work shoe pedigree. Again, no offense to the OSB!
As it stands right now I'm considering the RW 8100 series, some DS Thorogood oxfords if I can find my size, B.A. Mason makes a couple of designs I like (but I don't know if they're American Made), and Sears makes a Diehard boot, but I would bet that they're not American Made. I'm going to visit the nearest RW dealer when I get the opportunity to try on a few pairs so I'll know my size, so that visit might make up my mind!
Thanks to you all for your suggestions!
