on the topic of that show….
damn what brett said was so true about that guy who owns the store... it's like showing rolex at walmart.. there's a big difference in the quality. something these people don't know about... i'm glad they got the investment!! i hope their wait time will be shorter and I can get myself a pair too!! -

Having seen how the father and son interact I'm not sure, even with the investment, that it's possible for them to become mainstream. Any company that ignores the segment of their business for that long that creates 80% of their revenue is an idiot and deserve what they get. They seem way too stubborn and are lucky she didn't bag them when they didn't show up.

I thought that comment was a little harsh.
I did too. They also missed a great opportunity to meet with Holt Renfrew.
Oh well, they got the money. Hopefully, they will be upping production soon.

Yeah I agree that was a total dick maneuver not to go to that little party. But I think I understand what Brett's vision is for the company and I don't think you need to look far from this site to see what mold he's looking to fit into . I could be wrong but that's what I saw.

Just because you can make doesn't mean you can sell. Craftsmen don't always make good businessmen. That isn't a problem if you recognize and address it, but not every business does. Their failure to attend the meeting set up for them was very telling of their character and desire for the business, IMO. I wish them the best, their products seem very good.

nice comments CLJ & astrogoji the waxed laces are a great look.

I just have to say that I loved the first lady's boot the Viberg fellas built on the show. Was that her toe nail poking through the toe of her boots? Ew
-
Looking over the viberg blog, I am really lusting for a pair of the service boots. Looks like I might be able to pull them off in the workplace in some fashion.
-
Viberg say they have much trouble with consistently sourcing cordovan leather, so those are always limited, this is my favourite btw., described as walnut cordovan on the blog:

Yeah, Horween in Chicago is the pimp of cordovan and I think they have cornered the market. They supply much of their cordo to Alden. Love their ravello, whiskey and cigar colours in cordo, but they are super limited (read expensive).

Looks good. Apparently it sold out super quick. I am hoping to do one in a roughout, but we will see once G states he is ready for more orders.
That's what I ordered Thomas, natural roughout

so you guys out there make me fuzzy with all this Viberg crazyness lately going on…
so may I present you my new sheep under the wolves fur and new companion to my engineer, here we go
I love the understated roughness of this service boot and the deepness of the merlot color.
my usual US size is 8.5
David, this the most beautiful boot I saw in my entire life. Pretty dramatic. Bought at VMC?
