White's Boots
-
-
I was out antiquing with my wife and I ran into an old man rocking some sick White's. He told me there's a store here in OKC that has a huge stock of Whites.
Good chance to try different boots on, but definitely not the best price at $100 more than Baker's.

thats the shit Lucifer. The block heel and the double leather sole works. Thats the ticket for success if one requires the block heel. I might make that my next build (or get my currents resoled that way)

Went to Little Joe's today to see the infamous wall of whites. Holy Shit.
Sooooo many boots. Plus sooooo much filson. Insanely cool little ranch store.
It was almost hard to take in. The guy that owns it is this awesome tiny cowboy named Joe. This is him and his horse.
Plus, they have an entire room devoted to knives and axes. If you're ever in OKC, check it out.
-
So what did you buy????
-
None yet. I'm strongly considering a pair. Did pick up a filson mackinaw vest and Lori got a stormy kromer.
-
Holy hell. Next time you're there let me know if they have anything in natural CXL(the most beautiful CXL in the land). Actually, I'm calling them tomorrow.
-
Ask for Joe. They have some natural looking boots and all different types of leathers. Even some that I've never seen before, like distressed, which kinda freaked me out. I really dug the "black cherry." I can't believe this place has literally been in my back yard this whole time. Urb, you would have shit over the Filson. Like, an entire room of Filson.
-
I bet it was amazing. They make such great products.

Looks like just a small selection online

God would I love that store to be local to me. I'm itching for a boot shop like that. Anyone know of a place that stocks whites in the NYC area? I would love to try some on. I'm thinking either a pair of semi dress whites or a pair of Viberg service boots. What do u guys think would be a better buy?
-
White's are probably a better value. Vibergs cost about 60-75% more, but I don't see how they can be 60-75% better boots. The construction techniques are largely the same and in some cases (chromexel leather, Vibram soles) the materials are exactly the same. I'm seriously thinking about getting a pair of Semi-Dress boots to do a side by side comparison with my Viberg Service Boots, (which I love, don't get me wrong) but I doubt I'll see a huge difference in quality.

Just buy two pairs of whites instead of Vibergs.
In NYC, I believe these are it.
Whites- Graham Fowler
Viberg- Leffot, Freeman's Sporting Club -
