Watches - another OCD problem

I dislike Pams, everyone wears them.
Yes, I agree.
Do't like the Royal Oak design. I know it is a true classic,, but it does nothing for me.
Yes, I agree.
But mostly, I agree with the choice of the Blancpain. The Fifty Fathoms is a brilliant watch with a wonderful history. I'm sure you'll enjoy it…

Stunning BP Mr G, a true classic.
Funny thing about the "everyone wears them"-saying, I guess it's very dependant on the country/area where you happen to work/live. Over here hardly anyone has nice watches, but the most common ones are definitely Omega Bond Seamasters and Speedmasters with the odd Tag Heuer Carrera here and there. Very few Breitlings or Pams spotted in the wild and from what I gather they're very common in the UK for example. In Italy I've spotted loads and loads of Rolexes and Panerais while on vacation…

Yes, I did spot shed loads of them at the NYC gathering. Couple of Rolexes, Omegas and Tags, too. No Blancpains, though.:)

Looks like they have been through a beating and still survive. That's what any Seiko can offer you. I've asked because I thought that Haraki-San might introduce some Japanese timepiece besides the clothing and such. Maybe the BOSS is more into rolexes than a seiko.
A WIS which I am not, would tell you that a Grand Seiko is on par if not better than any big brands i.e. Rolex,JLC,Omega, and the lists goes on.. It terms of craftmanship as well as accuracy. Handmade by a watchmaster. Anyway, I would love to have this Grand Seiko one day. Hopefully, the 50 fathoms 1st…
here's one of the GS

I have liked the orange Planet Ocean for years, and considered buying one a couple of times, but that damn HEV at 10 o'clock drives me nuts. I just can't get past it.
-
Thanks!!
The HEV surprisingly isn't annoying on the wrist - but if you don't like the look then there's not much you can do!
Love the orange - by far gets the most compliments of any watch I have (others being: Omega Aqua Terra, Tag Aquaracer, vintage Zenith, vintage JLC and vintage Omega)

I agree about it not being bad on the wrist; I've tried it on a few times and it's really a lot less noticeable than in pictures, but it still bothers me aesthetically. It's a shame, because I really love the watch otherwise. Glad you're happy with it, by the way.:)
