This is a fun thread.
Winter
Heavy jeans: Be they denim, duck, or corduroy, I wear jeans a whole lot. Cargos, khakis, and less frequently slacks occasionally intervene
Heavy thermal henleys I wear one almost every day in winter
Heavy shirts: Flannels, denims, chambrays…
Heavy sweats/sweaters: I occasionally break up my snap shirt monotony…
Heavy socks: I love Smartwool, Red Wing, and Anonymous Ism
Heavy shitkickers with rubber soles: IH/VB smokejumpers, Lofgren Engineers, Cowboy boots
Gloves: generally Buzz Rickson's A-10 goatskin repros. Very soft wool lining, these are terrific. I do have some technical gloves for skiing and some work gloves for working.
Heavy hat: My Canada Goose fleece-lined nylon cap with beaver pelt flaps. I don't often wear hats, so when I do it damn well better keep me warm. And make me look like Ignatius J Reilly.
Heavy face: On some days, a neoprene balaclava is sadly necessary here. I think society benefits from my wearing a burka at least.
Heavy coat: For a non-technical garment, the RMC N-1 deck jacket is shockingly warm, as is my Alexander D-1. I have not needed to bust out my Marmot Yukon even during the vortex (it was too warm with IH layers). On days when it reaches the 20s or above, the IH M-65 comes out. I have a down Marmot vest that operates well as a "lining" for it.
Heavy belt: I need to know that if I have to convert a power line into an impromptu zipline or choke out a zombie I can do so safely
Stabby stabberson: You never know when you're going to have to frantically carve into a blue bag to liberate some treasure from its tyrannySo, do y'all know where I can find some heavy shit?

I've been looking for a good pair of solid-color socks. Thanks for the tip, 4c.
