Actually, I'm pretty sure there are, but I thought "feck it, what's the worse that can happen?"

Some poor TN family members of Cash, could sue the shit out of you for copyright infringement. The USA does not fuck around with this type of shit.

Unlikely; not just any random relative can sue. It has to be the owner of Cash's name and image (the owner of the rights to the picture used can sue for that as well). As a practical matter, they would also have to weigh the cost in time and money of the litigation against the perceived harm and potential recovery. It's very likely that Giles (like most people committing this type of offense) simply isn't with the trouble of suing. The usual scenario is exactly what zwer said- a polite request to stop. Lawsuits only happen when people are unreasonable.

I wouldn't worry. I guarantee the term "Man in Black" or "Folsom Special" could be used if someone gets their panties in a wad. Or "Mr. Cash". No evidence of trademarks on Johnny's name or man in Black according to a Google search

At least you're sleeping, my sleep requirement has deserted me at precisely the wrong time.

Not yet, anyway. The estate is appears to be represented by the same IP firm that has worked for the Elvis Presley estate, which is notoriously protective of Presley's personality rights.
Still think Giles is safe, though.

ethical question here
if something you bought off ebay showed up at your house MONTHS later, after you've already gotten a full refund and rebought the item from a different seller.
do you keep it or do you return to sender?ps. this was supposed to be a birthday present for my nephew
-
if there is any evidence that the delay was caused by the transportation company, contact the seller. If the seller is just a lazy idiot, keep it….
I had something similar some time ago, sold an item to a Russian customer that got "lost" and after a month of waiting I gave the buyer a full refund (around $300). Several months later I got a PayPal payment from this dude out of nowhere, with just a small line "its here, thanks my friend" and the full amout...

do you keep it or do you return to sender?Similar thing just happened to me.
I ordered leather samples from Whites 3 months ago. A month went by and I hadn't received them yet so I contacted Whites. They said they had sent the package a month ago using USPS. They ended up sending another set using UPS and I got them a week later. Now, 3 months later the USPS package shows up looking like it's been to hell and back. Just contacted Whites and they said to keep them.
Bonus: There were 5-6 different leathers in the second set.

Urbs,
Any chance those samples included "black dress" and "black smooth"? Curious to know about the difference in thickness and shine between the two. I have a pair of White's made up with black smooth and they are rather dull in shine.
