Viberg

It's one of my favorite leathers for sure. I got to see them at the 3Sixteen pop up. How do you like the 2030 last? One of the most beautiful leathers on one of the worst lasts(for my feet) ever haha.

Very nice!
After a rough and tumble night out last Friday I got some nice scuffs and a few spots on my roughouts.
I then sprayed them with water and gave them a brush with my horsehair brush, which previously has brushed neatsfoot and Obenauf's LP on some of my engineers. This had a very subtle and attractive effect on the nap of the roughout and evened out the boots so that they looked new again. It wasn't like a full blown dubbing but they look awesome.
Wore them today, I just love them. The feel so good on my feet and look great, the color complements both jean contrast stitching and my A-2, which I also wore today and will be wearing all Fall.
Tonight I am treating them with a water-based silicone spray from Obenauf's to winterize them a little. I'll be giving them three treatments punctuated by hour long cures. I'll post the results on the copper task collab threat to any who are curious about weatherproofing roughout.

They fit like a glove. The 2030 works great for me, which is lucky cause it's one of my favorite looking lasts that viberg does….

They're the 3sixteen collab. I'm trying to grab a pic that better represents the color of these, cause in the sunlight they are definitely olive. The color and the leather are just stunning…
Hey Emcee can you grab a couple pics in daylight and indoors just so we can see the different shades? Seems strange, but the color/texture of the shoe looks different in the few pics (2-3) I have seen online. Also, what size are you in Alden Barrie? I'm an 11 and not sure if i should get the same size or a 10.5. Any tips wud help! Thanks!

after shooting the NYC lookbook for Viberg in the spring Brett wanted to make me a pair of quote on quote indestructible boots which will hold up to my lifestyle and the work i do in them.
so what we ended up with was this pair of brown wax flesh boondockerish sort of things.
they have contrasting white stitching, speedloops and the rear loop to make them easier to get on and off were things i wanted to add for ease of use.
i couldn't be happier, and now after a month or so of solid use they're looking damn fine.
wax flesh is fucking amazine, it's incredible thick but the way it shows wear looks damn fine.
either way here's them on my feet while i was sitting outside the tommy hilfiger show during nyfw (new york fashion week) last week.
they're on a commando sole and have olive green (or whatever the technical term is) laces in them.
couldn't be happier, and if you're looking for a leather that is super thick and will look even better with wear look into wax flesh, i believe it's offered in black and i look forward to seeing what that's all about.
cheers,
jesse
PS for those into cameras one is the Leica Monochrom with a 50/1, one is a Leica M (240) with a 28/2 ASPH, and one's a D4 with a 28-300 (i'm selling the 28-300 and a Nikon D3 as well if anyone's interested, the lens is damn close to new i only use it sparingly during Fashion Week once I get tired of carrying around a bunch of gear, and the body has ~100,000 clicks which isn't shit on a D3, it shows heavy use as I always carry lots of bodies and they knock into one another, but it works flawlessly and I have the box, an extra battery, and all of that…)

I just love Viberg. MC and Jesse, those are both beautiful pairs. I love the wax flesh and that olive is such a cool color. Looks great.

A shade or two darker now, still nappy, more weather and stain resistant in theory; three light dousings with obenauf's water based silicone spray, punctuated by hour long cures:
I'll update through winter. We'll see if they need further treatment with this or other products.
