Pure Blue Japan (PBJ)

Thanks for that shoque! I can look forward to good things as I have expected. So on my last trip to NY I finally decided to grab a pair of PBJ xx007's (W32). I have been lusting after them for some time and made the decision to grab them while I could try them on in person. Thanks to Gordon and the BIG staff, I was able to do so right before they closed so I could avoid the crowded nature of the store.

I am jsut afraid of the thighs, they are tight.
Landon, rest assured that these will stretch out easily. They have probably the most stretch out of all of the jeans that I have owned.
-
Right on. Thank you both for the reassurance. They will be getting another soak and hang dry in the sun tomorrow. I could definitely use another half inch or so in the length as well so I can wear them with vans. Yeah, great denim/ jean so far…

SE suggested i pick up some Real Japan Blues 105BSP for a similar fit to the 634S… until you posted this i never really realized there were two brands so similarly named.
Seul, Real Japan Blues is, not PBJ though.

^ np, lol, btw lando, bnwt right?
*just joking
Those denimz look nice, i want to get a ladies pair for my lady. Sufu ruined my life toward future spending…but i dont mind.

Holy crap those shrank quite a bit… let us know how they fit once you're finished w the soaks
-
Well i meant overall…
Like i just gave a pair of FH F310 a hot soak and they shrank a LOT... but then i just soaked F380 same size twice and they shrank like half of what the F310 did but seemed to be more in line with what i usually see raw denim shrink so far

Decided to soak my xx007's again to get the waist down some more while I watch the US play from behind…
-
Not much shirking if any occurred on the second soak/ hang dry… So little that I stopped measuring half way through because it was apparent that nothing really happened. Luckily I own an IHB-03 which hold them up whenever I decide to take a slim fit for the day...

Bump for this old thread as when in DC4 this weekend I picked up a pair of xx-011's.
I went in just to look, with the idea of maybe buying a shirt because I am waiting for 666's or BB's as an xmas present to myself, but as soon as I saw these I fell in love and figured they would keep me going for a wee while
I'm pondering soak strategy (I've had some great advice off Daniel so i'm all set, just thinking out loud for thread purposes. ) I've got an inch at the waist that could be lost, and in the thigh and calf that they could go in a bit but I like the kind of loose slim silhouette I have right now. Plus, I'm not that bothered about fades as the jeans are so beautiful as they are so I may just tough them out as is then soak them when the start to stretch out. (I sized down one to 31, as an example, my triple works are w32)
Anyway, sadly I need to take these off now and go to bed ::)

Just picked up a pair of xx-005's from Blue in Green. First soak complete and ready to take them into the store for hem. I soaked in lukewarm water and there has been pretty minimal shrinkage. I've had them on for about 40 minutes now and they're already breaking in and getting more comfortable.
Question: Does anyone know how much dye comes off of these? There doesn't seem to be much dye on this pair. However, along with the denim I also picked up a tan Studio D'Artisan wallet from BIG and I'd hate to stain it right away.
Cheers.

I assure you that your wallet get stained with every new pair of raw denim
