What's your favorite Beer?
-
Yeah, you should!..
As for really bitter beers, you'd love De Struise's ELLIOT BREW and Fantôme's BRISE-BONBONS!.. Just of the top of my head, there are lots more, but honestly I do not like these kind of beers so not very knowledgeable about 'm… But we have 'm!..
And I'm sure you'd LOVE our geuzes!..

So on my way back from lunch I noticed a brewery is being constructed across the street from work. I think it may be Fulton, an outstanding local brewery. This will get ugly.
-
Seul, I found a tap list from a past Belgian beer Fest. Any standouts here? Geez kinda weak looking, too many American beers.

This is under 10 miles away from me… Tons of smaller breweries use this to try out their latest creations...
-
McKleine:
Oud Beersel Framboise (Sour, you will love this!)
Struise Mikkeller (Elliot Brew) (The beer I mentioned!.. You'll love this!..)
La Trappe Quad(ruple) (Give it a try!..)
Cuvee Des Jacobins Rouge (Was too sour for my likings, but you might love it!..)
Rodenbach Grand Cru (One of the best old brown sours…)
Duchesse de Bourgogne (Solid old brown sour!)
Liefmans Oud Bruin (very basic old brown sour, but decent)Out of the last three, I'd defo recommend the Rodenbach Grand Cru!.. The other, unmentioned Belgians aren't bad but nothing too crazy... The Malheur 12 is good if you're into strong, dark beers (12%)... Pity they don't serve the Malheur 10 (blonde, 10%)... Or the Liefmans Goudenband...

Awesome I am saving this note, thanks!!

Re-arranging the fridge… Decided it's much better to have the corked beers that I won't immediately consume, laying down and the ones that will be kept til next summer are stacked in the fridge. Constant temp of 7C° > dark stockroom of 18-20 C°...
Stockroom (some of these have to move to my mate's cellar asap):
Abusing a newfound shelf in my fridge… Max stacking for max pleasure...
Overall… I had to stop filling the shelves cause they were getting warped

Cell bitch pics… Tsjeeses Reserva Port Barrel Aged... In short: phenomenal...

-
Anesthetist, that looks so damn good. I love dark beers.

Almost better than the 10, one of my favorites so far.
the 8 and 10 TR are dope…10's my favourite though!
ok, so you all know the beer store I've found a few weeks back, right!?
so after work, the boss and me went to their bar, right beside the store:
I had:
Mort Subite - great one imo!
Rochefort 10 - you know the deal!
Liefmans Kriek - pretty refreshing!
Felsenau - swiss beer at a different place
…and o/course I had to stop at the shop again
introducing my boss to some belgian beer and gifted him one of the two st.feuillien I got. let's wait and see what he thinks…
-
Thanks Ben, it was friggin great after a stressful day. Damn Finn, that looks amazing. I think those ladies are admiring your Rochefort, or maybe your IronHeart

Don't drink the Goudenband too cold - if you're fridge is set at 5C°, leave it out for an hour. Oh: and if it's laying down right now, change to a vertical position.
And most importantly: enjoy. I'm picking up my beer for this evening at my dad's. He's had an Oak Aged Quadrupel La Trappe in his fridge for months now, time to release it…
