But first… Hoegaarden Grand Cru... I did not have high expectations of it, and it defo wasn't on any priority list, but I thought to myself "Seul, don't be so closeminded, you eejit!.. Come on!.. Grab a bottle!.. ATTA BOY!.." And hey: it's not bad at all!.. Nothing crazy, but a solid beer!..

I have discovered Brewdog Manchester :). I could leave here broke and paralytic…

7.2%?.. That the best you got?..
That was the strongest dark they had on draft. The strongest beer ever brewed was released by Brewdog a few years ago… 'The End of History', 50% ABV, sadly I never got round to picking a bottle up :(.
If you can get to a Brewdog bar, it's well worth it. It won't be a cheap experience but you will find something you enjoy.

McKleine: drinking Grand Cru out of a La Trappe glass?.. Excellent!.. You should post more ITT mate!!!
Me?.. I scored an older Rodenbach GC glass this morning at the fleemarket for 0.5 €… Decided it was time to finally open my Vintage 2010... Fans of sour, complex beer, TAKE HEED!.. This is spectacularly good!!!

Yeah that goblet was what they put it in at the bar. Place called Muddy Pig, great food too. It's down the block from the place I posted about that does a Belgian Beer Fest. Both great tap houses. This is in St. Paul so I don't go there often.

I've had the 8, I'll look for the 10. I do love Bernardus, thanks for the pointer!

I've been wanting to read that since Michael Jackson waxed poetic on it. Would love to try, and would try to find something similarly rare from here in exchange.

@Seul
So I picked this up the other day because you and others rave about it. I'm definitely not a beer aficionado, more of a wine guy, but Fred I would give it a go. I don't have the proper beer glass and have no idea about the right temperature to serve at. Looking for your expert advice on alternative glass and temperature.
