Stevenson Overall Company

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my new Stevenson pocket tees. Feeling like a Fifties greaser on a beach vacation today. This is my first Stevenson purchase, though I admire a lot of what I've seen from them. Thought they deserved a thread.

those tees are awesome.
loving the detail of no visible stitching on the pocket: -
Yep. Almost makes me want to start smoking again so I can roll a pack of Lucky Strikes into a sleeve. Great shirt.
-
Very interested in the pocket T's. Anyone know the fabric weight?
-
It's no Flat Head or IH. Probably not much weightier than a normal tee. But nice fabric with a characteristic visibke loopwheel texture.
-
Speaking of perfect for summer, this lightweight Bucko arrived from Nippon today. It's not navy as it appears, it's black. Really love the fabric.
-
Thanks Mike!

It's model BC1-BS. I think that means Bucko-black stripe. I got the last one at a store on Rakuten (http://global.rakuten.com/en/store/greedkobe/item/291210y-062428/) but I bet if you Google Stevenson and that SKU you'll find others. I think they may have made a blue version.

How do you find the collar on those pocket tees? As durable as the Flat Head ones? Was also curious to hear your thougts about the fit/cut of these t-shirts.
-
They brag about the collars maintaining shape, but frankly they don't really feel that robust. After wears and a wash, the collar has loosened noticeably. It isn't doing that bacon shrivel thing per se but it is noticeable.
I will say that even with that they are great shirts, but I wish all collars on tees were like Flat Head. Best I've ever seen.
The fabric is great with a noticeable loop wheel pattern, the construction is amazing. These are the reasons to buy it, and I still recommend them. But the collar is not the strong point IMO….

Hey mclaincausey,
What size did you get in that Bucko shirt? How did it fit? What is your usual size in IH western / workshirt?
-
Hey Omega,
I'm 5'10" 170lbs, reliably a 42 in Flat Head westerns, and can be M or L in Iron Heart. If you have an example shirt in Iron Heart that's on my RC (http://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5000.0) I'll tell you the size.
The Stevenson Bucko is a Medium and I like the fit a lot. Could not go down a size, could go up a size.
Hope that helps, happy to provide further information as needed. Stevenson makes a mean Western…

The SOC gima cotton tee shirts FurtadoHeddo found on sale at Bench & Loom and graciously shared with us arrived today. This cotton is nuts. It is as dry as burlap but soft like cotton. Airy, breathable. It has good length too for taller people. I'd go for it if they have any left. Love it.

I do like this shirt.
