Kind of a late pass on this but I see this reasoning all the time.
Roy did this as a hobby; put his product on the internet for 150. It blew up beyond what he expected. He had a huge backlog in orders… pricing would have went up SE or otherwise. Yes, SE does make some money out of the deal.. but it's clear that, with the price increase, Roy has transitioned producing denim as a hobby to producing denim for a living.
I find it hard to hate on a guy's prices for that.

Postimage.org is a piece of shit. Clicking on a hosted image at a bare minimum has to bring up the image, not a generic home page.
