Rafa its a printed mccoy sweater (rocket Rangers 8)) from a few years back. Pretty much extinct i believe, there was also the same sweater in darker color, believe brown, and yellow print around. You might ask fredy but think the few have all gone.

Real nice looks Snowy.
Forgive my ignorance: what is heel slip? Too much room between front and back of the boot? Or your foot is lifting out of it?

SSoL, Thanks. heel slip is @ the back where the heel rubs against the back of the boot.
seawolf, understand, thanks. I know this pair is the perfect size for me, just need to let the leather continue to soften/break in.
Friday, 9.5, they're not going anywhere, thanks for the offer tho ::). They're stunning boots that are crying for more attention, that's all

I don't disagree about slippage but I do try to minimize it to a degree. It your heel is too free and you stomp around as much as I do it's bothersome. Not trying to get blisters on my heels.
I added a hole to my straps when mine started slipping. It takes a little elbow grease to get to it but they wear so amazing when I do. Tiniest of heel slips, hard to even notice.
For thicker socks I stay with the original tightest hole on the strap. Insoles are also possible if you are uncomfortable. My guess is a heel half insole might be the way to go based on the shallow RC last. To me engineer slippage may take some getting used to, but if it's painful it should be addressed. Maybe I'm reading too much into your expression

I find it intriguing that people actually use the straps on engineer boots. Just my opinion, but isn't best to fit the boots such that you won't need the straps. My Lofgrens are a hair too big, but I've never tightened the straps. I just use the hole that lets the strap fit naturally round the boot, no tension. Stick a good insole in and presto. YMMV.
