The Flat Head
-
The collar is the only thing about Flat Head shirts that I don't like. Sure, it doesn't stretch out, but it feels like rope.
That said, I'd buy a few more if they'd start making size 44 on a consistent basis.
-
I swear I see a bunch of 44s, they're like 2000 yen more though I think. Also, have you worn them on a consistent basis? What I've found is that the collars stretch plenty, to the point where I can easily fit my fist through it, but they don't lose their shape or become wrinkly. I would honestly be pretty surprised it after stretching it still felt uncomfortable.

Stevenson collars at least on their white pocket tees are far worse than Iron Heart. Serious "bacon collar" even though the packaging boasts of their collar construction.

A lot of the 44s available on Rakuten are "Wide body", which is basically a size 44 in length and a size 46 in width. Not really what I'm looking for. As for the collar, I haven't noticed any improvement over time. I have an old Self Edge collab that I've worn and washed dozens of times and it still nearly rips my ears off every time I pull it over my head. I had an old Glory Park model with a standard style collar that was much more comfortable, but it was a 42 and I'm just too big to wear that size.
-
I have a Glory Park with a looser collar, but still superior to all other makers.
-
Yep, flat head definitely nails collars. And putting them on almost rips my ears off too but after that it's smooth sailing.

42 in the THC series (the ones you usually see) which imo corresponds roughly to a medium. The TM series runs like a size smaller and has a fabric that's feels softer and more stretchy than the THC, but is still substantial. I think the TD series runs generally the same (I'm a 42) but might be a tiny tiny tiny bit smaller. Its fabric is a little lighter imo with a collar that is not as heavy duty as the THC.
If I had to rank materials it'd probably be THC and TM tied, and then TD.

Update on flat heads after 3 weeks wear…still loving them!

^^ Nice! That belt is pretty badass too

Looking great all around Ben

Thanks guys! And yep, I really love the belt. It definitely works well with the higher rise and relatively looser fit of these jeans…

:-\ I could do with being just the way I am, but with a bit more income… But no, I won't change. Not sure of this is a good thing or not...

Looks great Morose Penguin, I'm wearing my black jacquard hoodie right now.
So, I picked up these bad boys today. We don't have a separate (as far as I know) thread for RJB, so I'm putting it here.
These are RJB's trademark sneakers, I nicknamed these the "baseball sneaker" for their white/red color scheme. These are the nicest sneakers I've ever seen, they're also by far the most comfortable; these have the comfort of a super high-end dress shoe in sneaker form. The leather is extremely soft and supple, and these are still brand new and haven't even been broken in yet.
I've never owned a nice pair of white sneakers before, but I seriously like how these look, I've been waiting for the chance to get some for a long time. They fit a little larger than my FH sneakers - these are 28.5 CM, while the FH sneakers are 28 CM. I must be in between sizes because both feel right to me.
I like how these have a classic mid-century American sneaker vibe, while being an original design that's not directly based off any particular vintage shoe. As usual for FH and RJB, the details are all top-notch, from the fully leather-lined interior to the tongue loop and amazing textured sole (which, unlike most sneakers, can actually be replaced when it wears out.)
