What's your favorite Beer?

So, I used the christmas days to do some reading about and drinking beer.
So far, I've learned that I have a completely different approach to beer as the people around me, as I come from appreciating whisky and well made other spirits. (I don't like the mass-produced Pilsener beers and don't drink beer to get drunk or quench my thirst.)
The ones I really loved were the red beer and red bock from my local Hausbrauerei Altstadthof in Nuremberg, the Ratsherren Red Beer & Pale Ale and some Wine Ale I fogot the name of. And I will try to get some Trapiste Rochefort and Rogue Dead Man this weekend. I got a long way to go, but enjoy the journey. -
Ah yes, my bad. Haven't bought it yet, so forgive my typo Speaking of weird names, wasn't there an arrogant bastard ale of another brewery too?
-
Yep. Stone Brewing, one of the best. Though I don't like the Bastard much. Their Ruination Ale is outstanding.

Yeah that's not what good beer is for. Once again, you should look into dark beer (malt beer) instead of hoppy beer (blond)…
There are also tons of whiskey barrel aged beers you might enjoy...

Julian Cider, draught. Very very good.

I have had the Stone Arrogant Bastard, Ruination IPA and standard IPA, all of then are amazing beers
Highly recommend Stone's Oak Smoked "Old Guardian" Barley Wine, too. That is if you like oak and smoke flavoring. It's an interesting beer, to say the least.
Also, Stone's "Enjoy By" IPA might be the best "strong" IPA out there (9.4%).
Don't get me wrong, I like Brew Dog's Punk IPA a lot, too (seems to be the IPA of choice around these parts; or maybe Mega endorses them the loudest), but at ~5.6% it's really in a different league.

McLain I want a list of the best ciders you have been drinking.
-
I'll try to collate it. I think I've put every one here. That Julian is nice, dry and a little sweet.
-
Jeff, talk to Zach about Aspalls. If you're down I can hook a brother up.

LAWSUIT!

Favourite for the summer is driftwood farmhand saison
For winter central city red racer ipa. Both brewed on vancouver island *edit, central city is on the mainland
When I'm in the states I like being able to get dogfish head 90min ipa , the rogue first growth series beers ( which never disappoint) and the stone beers mentioned in the last couple pages.

For winter a Baron is good but a bit sweet ( Czech ) , or porters . Here in Jpn , there
is a zero tolerance for D & D . So you cannot have a sip of a bevy and drive .Keeps it easy , no grey zone just - drive don't drink , drink don't drive .
