Die Deutsche Osterwochenende
-
On Saturday morning we took a walk down to the National Gallery, passing a giant blue cock (stop sniggering at the back) on the fourth plinth at Trafalgar Square.
Emil stuck his tongue out.
After that we headed to Gosport. Upon arrival we found Paula had a chocolate stash that approximated her own bodyweight. So we added to it with some Class A Belgian stuff…
There was an even larger pile of leather jackets.
Trail and Arrow tried on Giles's glasses, and went full metrosexual. Never go full metrosexual…
Meanwhile Van Olzon went full badass in an old Lee jacket.

Great pics, keep em coming. Also, damn that red shirt looks great!

Steffen, Tina, Emil and I braved the Gosport climate to take a walk along the creek this afternoon.
Down on the hard by the marina was the old Spirit of Yukoh Open 60. Last raced in the Velux 5 Oceans in 2006 to 2007, and been up for sale since then.
There was a newer boat behind her, but I couldn't get a clear shot, and I'm not sure which she was.
One of the historic warehouses on the quay. This was built over the road on cast iron columns.
The view over the river.
Everyone who visits Gosport photographs the Explosion! signs along the road. Today we made it up there, and they definitely had bigger weapons than anything posted in the guns thread…
Steffen decided to take on a tank!
Explosion! Needs! You!
A shipwreck? Or was it just the locals doing the nautical equivalent of stealing the alloy wheels off a car?
Dirty van…

There's a dude who looks as if he's had a long day (not Alex).

Last set of photos from Sunday.
Paula took Steffen, Tina, Emil and I down to the beach in the morning. This is the Gosport Inshore Lifeboat.
Tina and Emil.
Emil during lunch at Hardy's.
After lunch, we ventured to the far end of the beach to investigate the Gosport Mushroom. At the car park I saw Giles's new diving suit…
There were a bunch of bikes parked up outside the cafe, including a rather tasty Triton.
The beach was used as a range until the Seventies. So passers-by should consider themselves warned…
The mysterious mushroom. No, we don't have a clue…
I headed back to London shortly afterwards, leaving the others watching Mud (which is a very good film). I'd like to thank Giles and Paula for putting up with me over the weekend. I had a great time.
Incidentally, has anyone seen my hat?

we arrived back in potsdam at 1:30 this morning.
and yes, with his bleeding hat he had left behind in gosport.but lets begin from the start.
graeme cooked a great welcome-wurst-massacre
we had some pig-beer (you all know why)
and soiled graemes windows.
next morning tina and emil did go for a full english breakfast
later that day graeme helped himself to something really sweet
which can lead to massive erections
or, in his case to
total frontal nudity
and rapid hear growth
