The Strike Gold

When did they show up at SE? Looks like the 5105 in a 36 just may work for me. Really wish I could ask G to measure them lol
-
Thx, i looked. Thats why i said that the 36 "may" work. Was waiting for them to show up. Curious to see what kind of shrinkage MCL gets #nohomo
-
I did hot shower water in the tub for 15 minutes. I had them hemmed to 33.5" and am hoping to get them to 30" Will advise.
-
that weft looks a lot similar to the old Samurai Jins LHT denim.
Nice pick-up!
-
I was hoping someone would have an example of another jean with a similarly weird weft–thanks!
They shrunk quite a bit and are tighter than I would prefer now. Hopefully they'll slack out a bit. Perfect fit for you skinny jeans lovers out there, but for me I probably should have cold soaked. I was just trying to take down the length, which is still a little long.
-
Good luck dude….I've personally never had luck with trying to stretch out a jean that was uncomfortable. Also keep in mind they're probably going to shrink more with washes...
-
How much did you loose in the thigh MCL?
-
A bunch. They are hugging the thighs too much for my liking now, but given how slack they are I expect them to be OK in the end. I won't be able to get the length I desired, but better too long than too short. Looks like I'll have to have a second hemming.
I'll post a post soak fit pic on the original picture post as soon as I can.
-
Thanks–I wouldn't even call these tight, it's a skinny jean fit and I prefer a little more room. I think they'll be OK; they may just wind up being "sneaker jeans" since I like straighter cuts or boot cuts with boots. In hindsight, I wish I'd sized up to 34 and done a cold soak but oh well. I had hoped they would pretty much fit like my 3105s, and they may get there yet, though it will take another hem.
-
Wish they made a 38 fuck. Waist on 36 should work but the thigh is measured at 13.4" and thats right around as small as i can do (maybe 13.2-13.3) so im doubting i can do these

Yeah, which ones, Strike Gold? I saw one I think–I have one and love it.

Here you go man:
Wanted to share some details of the SG work shirt.
The pen pocket is the fabric wrapped under and stitched (the pen is not for sale)
Very narrow button backing
Curved yoke.
Double chain stitched felled sleeve seams lining up to the yoke and side seams.

Speaking of SG flannels, wearing it today. But I wanted to show a post soak, post stretch of the 5105s. I laid them on top of my 3105s last night after noticing how much they loosened and they had the exact same dimensions stretched flat. Even cuffs and inseam length, which surprised me because they feel like they stack more. Very pleased.
