LA trip Saturday 6/14 - 6/17

I'm heading to LA for a few days next weekend and I'm looking for suggestions on things to do and where to get a good beer and good inexpensive food in the Hollywood area. I'd also love to see a good original rock band while I'm there if I have time. Any suggestions? I'm also down for a beer if anyone wants to meet up.

Which hotel are you staying at and will you have a rental car? If not, I'll try to provide some suggestions that are convenient for you to get to!

I'm at the Rodeway in Hollywood. I've got the rental car covered, but thanks for the offer. I'll happily take suggestions for places to eat, especially for a good breakfast.

My favorite place for breakfast/brunch is Salt's Cure on Santa Monica. Very simple, but super high quality food. Get an order of oatmeal griddle cakes on the side!

The best burger in LA is at the Golden State. Great beers and root beer on tap. This would be a good spot for lunch or a low key dinner.

For Mexican, you're really close to Cactus Taqueria.

If you're looking for a particular type of cuisine, let me know and I'll steer you in the right direction.

I had a good breakfast at Marthas Hermosa Beach. Charming and interesting food in a cool area.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I went with JL77's suggestion for breakfast and went to  Salt Cure. Wow! Those griddle cakes were amazing. And I drove buy that Cactus Taqueria place a bunch of times, but didn't see your post until last night, approximately 10 minutes after I stuffed myself at In-N-Out (had to eat there once just to say I had). I'm kicking myself for missing the tacos, I figured they were probably great but somehow never made it. I had to leave today for San Diego, so maybe next time.
