Certain pieces sum up the essence of The Flat Head and its absolute love of 1950s Americana.
The Surfer shirt takes you to halcyon days of teenage summers or maybe back to some other place living the life to full.
The shirt is presented in its own custom box. It is 100% cotton, features felled seam sewing construction, coconut buttons and is rinsed so will not shrinkThe Madras Check Shirt features a straight warp and uneven weft thread. The pattern originates from this ancient Indian city.
It is 100% cotton and shuttle loomed with Universal snap buttons and felled seam. You cannot beat the quality of TFH heavyweight plain tees with their triple stitched collars and tubular construction. Now available in light red (orange to some) and blue.

This month we introduce footwear to our collection of rare denim and finely crafted clothing.
I started thinking about boots last summer. I wanted to find a bootmaker with great skill and the highest standards in construction. A French customer, Vincent, visited the workshop last July brought my attention to Last & Loom. This is a small and highly skilled footwear brand from New Zealand's north island and founded by Hemi Pou. Forum members already know him well if they have followed his bootmaking thread in the footwear section.
Last & Loom boots are individually handcrafted using a very rare brass screw wire construction.
Brass screw wire is spun at high speed on a machine that screws the mid-sole, upper, and insole together creating a super strong boot. They are built using one of the last brass screw wire machines still in existence. It originates from Leicester, England, and dates back to the 1800's when the technique originated. There are only a handful of manufacturers still using a brass screw wire construction to make boots. The leather hides comes from farms in the North Island of New Zealand.
Last & loom X Rivet & Hide: The Boot. Type 2. Soggy Brown:
- Tough Brass Screw Wire construction
- New Zealand full grain chrome tanned Soggy Brown leather
- Solid brass eyelets for durability
- Half bellow tongue to keep your feet dry
- Classic double natural leather sole & stacked leather heel
- Rubber half sole & rubber heel top piece for better grip
- Veg tanned leather insole with rubber / cork bottom
- Crafted in New Zealand

After introducing Last & Loom from New Zealand last week we now welcome Viberg Boots to London otherwise not represented in this city. Many on the forum will be familiar with this family run bootmaker. If not read on.
Viberg has been hand-making boots since 1931. It is widely respected for its superior craftsmanship and considered to deliver the best quality work boots in the world. Over 200 steps are taken to make each pair of boots and this is all undertaken by their skilled craftspeople at their home in Victoria, British Columbia.
The Boondocker is Viberg's interpretation of the standard issue WWII US Marine boot. Adapted from their Service Boot pattern and crafted out of an exclusive reproduction of Horween’s original Natural Aniline Chromexcel leather. From the thread to the eyelets, every detail has been considered and kept as true to the original as possible. The toe box has been left intentionally unstructured and will collapse naturally with wear. The 2030 last is a Canadian military silhouette, slimmer than the US marine boots, and ideal to wear with slim cut jeans.

Reapers, skulls, coffins, and bears. This is the world of Richard Colman, an artist based in San Francisco. He explores the darker aspects of life with imagery that combines the sinister with the comic. The human condition on canvas or in this case on a 100% wool blanket in another stunning Indigofera collaboration.
The Bear and The Coffin blankets are both available. We have also introduced two new additions to the regular blanket collection. The Cotton Graphic celebrates Indigofera's love of nature's natural fibre used with skill to make the beautiful fabrics of their clothing collection. The Montauk Stripe is one of our personal favourites for its warmth of colour.
"A blanket from Indigofera is, besides a beloved friend that will age and gain patina by years of cuddling, a handcrafted design piece that proves the old saying that Quality Never Goes Out of style"

Two years after launching the remarkable SF0121 jean Steel Feather returns with 3 new denims.
They are all unsanforized / shrink-to fit. They lose one inch in the waist with a soak but stretch back out by one inch after a few wears.
The fit has been slightly modified with a wider thigh while still retaining a slim tapered silhouette.
All inseams are now 38" raw and will shrink down to 36" after an initial soak or wash.
All 3 styles have a button fly, strong polycotton constructional stitching, herringbone cotton pocket bags and lined back yoke, and a natural cowhide leather patch.
The SF02AI 14 oz. jean is rope-dyed in natural indigo with a unique fade evolution. The SF0215 (15 oz) is a repro style denim in both weave and texture. The SF0216 (16 oz) has a touch of slub due to the varying thread weight and promises some great fading for this very reason.
All denims have been crafted by hand in Okayama's specialist small batch denim houses.
These jeans are only available at Rivet & Hide; purveyers of the rarest of denim.
Available in sizes 31-38. James is 189 cm tall and weighs 83kg. He wears size 32w in all images.

Since we opened the brick and mortar store in April one of the biggest pleasures we get is seeing new customers walk in and flip out at the quality of the fabrics our brands develop. Sometimes, when a final shirt sells, we kind of miss seeing it on the rail. But we soon replace it with something new and equally stunning and feel good again.
The winter 2014 collection from Iron Heart includes this extra thick 100% cotton western flannel in purple buffalo check. We had to order it in. The IHSH-101 one of our favourite pieces of the season. This will keep you warm and looking pretty good throughout the cooler months. The double brushed lining will ensure that.
Available in sizes S, M, L, XL & XXL
Junior is wearing a medium shirt. He weighs 65kg and is 173 cm tall.
We also restocked the super slim 555 jeans in the signature Iron Heart 21 oz denim.
