I'm sorry that I don't go back and look at what you guys said about sizing. Thinking about picking up a pair of theses. I have a 36 in Flat Heads and a 36 in 3sixteens. Do you guys size down on these? IM thinking about going with a 34 because the waist seems to be cut rather big on these. I would appreciate any help before I make a purchase. Thanks.

There are way too many variables to answer your question…. A 36 in what cuts from those brands? A 36 3005 and a 36 se05bsp, for instance, are very different. I don't have experience with this pair, but it seems like if you have slim thighs compared to your waist these would fit well.

Quick note on the tightness / breathability of this denim: I wore these today for the first time in a few weeks. I fell asleep on the couch for an hour and woke up dripping sweat. This fabric, while beautifully dark and soft, is stifling for even moderately warm temperatures.
I hope I get to wear them a few more times before putting them away for the season.
Also, regarding sizing, I can wear a 30, 31, or 32 in IH depending on actual measurements, but bought these in a 29 and still have room in the waist. These are definitely a funky cut and you should get all your measurements squared up before ordering.

Thanks! How are yours coming along?

Mine are hibernating. I wear my 634s every day to work and being that it's our busy season (HVAC), by the time I get home, there's no recreational jean time.
I can't wait to get back into them though. The evo pics of this denim are downright inspirational.

More inspiration since they just got another wash:

Thanks! This denim fades beautifully.

Yeah, @xtcclassic, those look soo good. I wanted to pick some up from the warehouse sale, but I shied away from the skinny thighs. I'll have to admire yours from afar.

Despite these being sanforized, they do shrink a fair bit. At least mine did. I don't know specifically how much, because I wasn't expecting any shrink and therefore didn't take any pre-wash measurements, but it was enough for me to immediately notice as soon as I put them on. I'm sure you'll get at least a half inch in the waist, just soak in hot water, inside out, and make sure to give them some agitation.

Thanks, I wanted to get as much shrinkage I could get before I get them tapered via railcar.
