This fabric is amazing and every detail is spot on… capturing it's exact beautifulness on camera is really hard, but here are some close-ups:
IHSH-107 review:
General thoughts: This is by far the nicest shirt I’ve ever owned and it has redefined my definition of what a shirt can be.
Fabric: Heavy and tightly woven with fluffy loosely spun 2-ply yarns and very soft feel. The richness and depth of color is amazing. The sheen and feel really is much like my finest ELS cotton dress shirts, but obviously it’s much heavier.
Fit: It’s a perfect motorcycling fit that is also just a great overall fit. The lower arms are especially snug. Also the 107 seems to have very long arms which is exactly what I have been looking for. I’ve never had a shirt that was so well fitting so I’m happy.
Function: the shirt is fitted, but it doesn't restrict movement at all and is very warm and windproof on a motorcycle. Also, no flapping in the wind! The fit and heft of the fabric makes this truly top-notch as a work shirt. I couldn't even imagine what it would take to wear this thing out!
Details/Construction: The shirt is made in a traditional western style and the western details such as the yoke and pocket flaps coming to a V. Its western detailing is not timidly understated and it’s not vulgarly overstated, but rather perfect. Every stitch is perfectly placed and amazingly executed. Constructional stitching is beautiful. The snaps are much nicer than I thought and are more akin to a jacket than a shirt and combined with the hefty 12oz flannel fabric really does make it feel more like a flannel jacket.
Complaints: this one is really hard to write… I guess if I had to come up with something it would be that the cuffs could be slightly snugger around the wrists to keep bees and other pointy insects from flying up the sleeve. I’ve known this to happen to many other riders and it has happened to me personally with a wasp.
Conclusion: the IHSH-107 is very much as amazing as IH jeans and in this reviewers opinion is an absolute necessity to any high-end work wear wardrobe. This shirt is an absolute treasure and it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent, period.
