Thanks folks. The fleece is softer than a baby's ass.

I'll second that, wearing mine a lot at the moment…..

Damn that's a good looking jacket. I would love to see one in black.

My wallet begs to differ.

Good to hear about your positive experience Pierre.. They do sound like very nice people indeed and I don't doubt their competence or product one bit.
But there were a couple of mistakes/delays in sending me the samples which did cost me two extra weeks before production started. 4 weeks in now and still no news…I expected to hear back by then. I know others have gotten theirs noteably quicker. What was the production leadtimes on yours if you remember?

I cancelled my order with them as i wasn't comfortable with some things , still haven't even had confirmation of cancellation.
I would phone but they only seem to have phones manned from 9.30am - 1pm ? What is that all about ? Some of us have working hours and can't just call whenever , those hours mean i can't call before work and by my lunchtime they are closed ! They also seem to have changed their registered name ? -
My experience dealing with Alexander Leather; Amanda, was nothing but a pleasure. Communication was excellent and my mto Simmons jacket was ready a week earlier.
Prior to that I've bought a half belt as well. The people over there missed out a couple of details on my address which i ended up collecting the jacket at the couriers warehouse. But I was compensated with a free shipping for my Simmons Bilt.
My cafe racer jacket through Giles also a good one. Free and perfect alteration on the jacket. Also delivery was in a speedy time as well.
All in all ordering through Alexander or even through Giles was great!!

Thanks for the helpful input @Friday . I haven't had that luck unfortunately.. I got the feeling my jacket has been de-prioritized to accomodate other orders.
Either way, communication could have way better managed my expectations as a customer IMO. It's a bit too reactive and not sufficiently pro-active/engaged. I did not particularly appreciate that you're kept in the dark regarding progress no matter how long it seems to take and that at first sign of trouble, they immediately ask if you like to cancel your order.. ("No, I just would like to get my jacket without significant delays vs other customers. If there are delays, please pro-actively keep me in the loop'' would be my answer).
It's now been 7 weeks since I placed my order on the site and gave them my specs.. They justified taking more than 4 weeks for production because it's a custom order. Not sure I buy that..
Hopefully I'll get my jacket soon enough but I don't see myself repeating that experience/purchase.
