@ Black delight, right across Vater & Sohn. Don't miss it.

The coffee farmed in Kauai doesn't impress. Oh well, can't be perfect right?
-
Very simply, I should think: try to go without and see how it goes…

Jeff picked these up from Benningtons in Vermot. Thanks again man

Bennington rules.

I took an unintended near 3 week detox as part of my food poisoning episode. Had killer headaches nearly the entire time caused by coffee detox. Am only back up to 2 cups a day so far. Man I've missed it in my routine and feel useless without it. Detox is not what it's cracked up to be.

Giving this a try. Not bad and the convenient too.

Hey, that's made here in Austin! It's not too bad.
I have a quick question for the more experienced coffee fans here.
My girlfriend recently got me a Chemex 8 cup and I love it.
Except for one thing: every now and then the filter seems to burst and it really pisses me off!
I've tried doubling, even tripling the filters used and it still manages to happen.
I'm following all the brew instructions from multiple sites, and I'm following everything to a T.
Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Maybe I'm wetting the filters too much? -
Yup, what filter are you using? Are you stirring the grounds at all during the bloom phase? I lightly wet the filter before the grounds but I never stir.

I used the Chemex for a long time. Then I got a no name ceramic filter at the fleamarket and my Chemex filters were empty.
I bought some bleached Melitta filters to use the ceramic filter. After two months I got some Chemex filters again and I really missed the richness of the cup, which I got from the keramic filter. Since that I never used the Chemex again.
Last week I got the Kalita Wave and I´m happy with it. It´s not so easy to get a nice cup, because you have to choose the fineness of grinding very precisely. But if you get it, it comes out a clean cup with richness and a nice body. It´s really worth a try. -
I use a generic 4-hole ceramic pour over rig and V60 filters.

Any burr grinder recommendations? Under $150.
Jeff gave me this coffee grinder for my birthday a couple of years ago and that's what I use daily. It's fine for myself but if I'm making more than one cup it becomes a huge chore.
I hear good things about the Baratza Encore
