I don't understand. You could get any backpack, strap one of those waterproof covers on it and keep your laptop in a waterproof sleeve. Get the Mission Workshop bag!

Naah, you're good.

Sounds like you went shopping at Rushfaster…
I'm leaning towards a Defy Verbockel at the moment. They're probably the ugliest rucksack in the world, but they're about the right size, and a simple sort of design. It doesn't have a sternum strap, but I think that I could fit one.
I actually prefer the Lug, but it's probably a bit too small.
The Makr Flap Rucksack looks nice, and is tempting. There's no provision for a sternum strap, and that might be a deal-breaker for on a bike.
The Modern Industry Drive is one of my favourites, but is too small. However, I did ask about the now-discontinued Faraday, and apparently a new version is coming in August if all goes to plan.
I also really like the Acronym 3A 9TS. I think that the size (approx 40 x 30 x 20 cm) could work as a small carry on, particularly with packing cubes and careful loading. But I'm not sure how comfortable it'll be to carry with a full load, or how stable it'd be on a motorbike.

That acronym is sweet. I wonder if bagjack make a cheaper rendition.

That Acronym tote bag is on eBay if anyone wants it.

This company make some really nice handmade (in the UK) leather bags…

After all the research and deliberation, I went with the Goruck GR1
I'm a sucker for accessories, so once I'd added a few choice extras to my basket the price started to climb and then I realised that it was cheaper to
buy the bundled GR1 Rucking Kit [emoji3]Having saved some money there I felt I could justify a few other bits, all of which pushed the total high enough that I qualified for free international shipping [emoji106]
