DWCxUHR - Denim World Championship Ultra Heavy Raws…

They should stretch back to pre-soak waist and probably a little more with pressure, so I think you'll be fine with the size you have.
@Giles One question, do you let the jeans dry completely after the soak before machine washing them, or do you put them into the washer right after the soak, still wet? I've never had loomstate denim from IH before.
-
I'm pretty nervous about sizing too. I normally don't wouldn't order jeans like this online for this reason but I have the Beatle busters which IH was originally showing the same measurements for. It seems they've changed a little and so I sized up from my original preorder just to keep from having a pair that's too small. I guess I'll keep my fingers crossed.

I think I'm starting to agree with Megatron on this I double cuffed and tried on again I think the hardest part will be stretching after soak but the fit on these is perfect (imho) in presoak so stretched back to this and maybe a quarter to half more in waist will be spot on.
I'll wait a day or two to mull it over and see if I get any more helpful replies or insights….. I appreciate all the help and support from the members.
P.s. here's a comp between these and my 21ozers (a little over a year old )

I imagine that some areas won't stretch back, according to how much tension there is. For example, thigh and calf areas, unless the things are fitting like jeggings, seem like there's no tension to pull them back to pre-soak form. Waistband and other parts of the top block seem subject to the tension required to bring them back. To a lesser extent gravity would provide some tension perhaps to affect shrinkage in the vertical dimension. Just spitballin my instincts…

A bit of pain after the soak is all part of the fun. My MBB's bruised and grazed my hips to begin with.

Can't beat a denim beating to let you know you're in a battle

Exactly

@el:
I had a similar pre soak fit in my 666uhr. I put them through the machine at 40 and wore them while damp. We didn't get on with each other very well for the first week or so but I reckon they're a perfect fit now.
Not looking forward to the next wash, though. <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Thats another daunting thought LOL
@giles what do you think of my predicament? what would you do, stick with this size or size up one?
-
@skaterpunk437 Giles confirmed that these will stretch back to the pre-soak waist, so if you like the fit now and don't mind a little punishment go with the size you have now. If you feel that the pre-soak waist is already too snug and you don't mind a more relaxed fit throughout then return and size up. It's really a question of your own personal preference.
-
OK thanks and sorry for beating a dead horse i decided to size up as they are just barely comfortable pre-soak and the other measurements are neglegibly larger. I appreciate all the help and apologize for taking up so much of the thread. I will update photos and compare once 34s come in.

@skaterpunk437 no worries, in my experience unsanforized denim is always kind of a crap shoot even if you can try them on in the store, if you don't have any experience with how the denim behaves. But the character and feel of unsanforized is totally worth the risk IMO. And even sanforized denim that fits perfectly when you first put them on can stretch too much, hence people sizing down, etc. It's all kind of a gamble.

I agree 100% and now I know lol unfortunately I have to wait longer to wear them now [emoji31] but that's ok, at least now i know what I have to look forward to this denim I's effing seriously amazing it's so stiff and crispy but so smooth and soft on the hand. I don't know if I'm wording that proper but point is A+ denim .

yes i was terrified to get hemmed and luckily i did not especially with inseam shrinkage i just could not gamble with it plus i have self edge and blue in green within blocks of where i work so chain stitching if easily accessible. how much did you take off? and did you figure for 2" of shrinkage?
