IH-666-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Slim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo

Ah yes, that moment when you can't tell if the blue discoloration on your fingers is indigo, or bruising from fighting the buttons. I will be interested to hear your experiences with your hips and the back of your knees. LOL I know my hips were bruised and pretty raw for a bit. Welcome to the struggle xtc!

As @jdl1279 told me, welcome to the struggle, @den213 . Once mine dried after their first soak/wash, things got much easier. I can already tell they are going to fit perfectly and will most likely become my favorite pair of jeans once I break them in a bit. They're tolerable already (they were after an hour), and I've only got about 1.5 day's worth of wear on them so far (can't wear jeans to work). Breaking these is going to be a loooonng project for me, but I don't mind. I plan on enjoying every minute of the journey.

Thanks, @Finkster & @xtcclassic :)! The 25oz-denim is definitely serious business and a hell of a challenge. I also think breaking this beast in will take a while but it's more than worth it. I can already imagine them being smoother than silk. Buttoning them don't hurt anymore btw ;D.

Small update for me too. Going on about 2 months. Have not soaked/washed. They are quite tolerable at this point. After a few traumatic experiences early on with the bottom button I have not undone it in at least 6 weeks…. Fortunately all functions can be accomplished without unbuttoning. Have been rotating with 2 other pairs so the evolution has been minimal. Mind blowing how much inseam you lose once the back of the knees settle in (monster combs!).

@BloodnThunder @xtcclassic @den213 I'm doing my research on these at the moment. Did you guys that soaked notice any shrinkage? As I understand it there's a little but I've heard some say not really..
-
You will get a visible shrinkage after a washing machine. And one day you will have to do it…
But not so much schrinkage with soaking. 30...40 degrees. No matter the temp.
Tips: soak the beast before to introduce it in the washing machine[emoji6]Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

neph93: I think there's no noticeable shrinkage since the denim is already sanforized, in fact it gets even softer and unbelievably comfortable after a soak/wash. I experienced nearly zero shrinkage and they stayed quite the same (4h warm soak+30° C machine wash). In my opinion this denim becomes as comfortable as the 21 oz thereafter (although it felt like wearing cardboard first). And I assume brave ones can size down and stretch it pretty easily ;). All in all it's a masterpiece of denim and definitely a highlight in everyone's collection.

Fit pics after a couple days of wear:
@neph93 , I'll take some measurements today and let you know if the shrinkage was measurable. I feel like they did shrink a bit, just not sure if the measurements will confirm this.
-
Ok, so it doesn't seem that there's been any significant shrinkage after all. If there was, they have stretched back out. I forgot to measure the inseam when they arrived, but they were supposedly hemmed to 33.5" and are now 33". The waist started at just a hair under 34" and now measures 34.25", the thigh measurement has stayed at 12".

BTW, huge thanks to @Sam for finding me the absolute best-fitting pair of jeans I own. It's pretty much a foregone conclusion that these are going to be my all-time favorite pair of jeans.
-
Chuck, those are awesome looking on you. They look especially good with that 55!

I'm pretty stoked. It's a bit warm today for 25oz denim, but I'm not taking them off damnit!

I know what you mean, I took my aunt to lunch on The Hill in my 633 and 123 and sweated my ass off. Wouldn't want to try it in 25 oz!
