IHSH-102MC - Maroon/Cream Ultra Heavy Buffalo Check Work Shirts
As with all our UHF's, this shirt is made from Aspero Cotton. Aspero is a naturally occurring wild cotton that is found in the foothills of North East Peru and being a tree it is not farmed and so is one of the purest most organic cottons available. As it cannot be mass produced it has been highly prized for generations by the indigenous Peruvian population for its qualities of fineness, softness, volume and also strength.

Fun Fact.
When I was in Japan with H and we were talking about future releases of UHF's, he said that they were at risk, because the importation of Aspero cotton into Japan is falling. He is worried that the importer may stop altogether. He has tried yarns made from other cottons, but none have been satisfactory.ASPERO COTTON

The Ultra Heavy Flannels are at risk?? I hope H resolves this. The UHF's are the shit and IH is the only game in town for 12oz flannel shirts.

written verbal abuse , I'll have an ambulance standing by .I can see that, I think you have a point there. Amazing looking fabric but if I do decide to cop this one I will go Western.

No verbal abuse, just an explanation. The crew and I sat down and decided that to make the western and the work versions more different, we'd have black on one and cream on the other. The western won the black game. On the basis that this is a "work" shirt, we felt it was (pretentious alert…..) more honest to stick a good old common or garden cat's eye on it.....

It's always been made from Aspero cotton? That's funny I've never heard of it. Pretty cool…
Shirt looks so good!

Possibly no more UHF?! Cue my frantic scrambling to get the entire backlog. This could be a fun quest…
We are fairly certain the next 2 versions I have asked for will happen…..He was just warning me that my fun with UHF may have to cease at some point.....
