I've got a feeling @Kathrynnaomi you are going to love the 777s
After quite a bit of wear mine feel soft, fit really well and have the beginning signs of some bright blue evo you'll just have to tough it out for a while! G advised me to wait for these and he wasn't wrong! -
I think you are right Black Orchid, I'm really up for a pair of these, did you get them the same size as your other IH's? I hear the 21oz stretches a fair bit. My IH555 are the 18oz unsanfortized.
-
@Kathrynnaomi, along my denim journey I learned the difference between tag size and actual size, raw and one wash, sanforized and unsanforized etc, this also gave me an awareness of my own actual waist and how it changes for different rises. As each IH pair of jeans is cut slightly differently, I went straight to the sizing guide for the IH-777's and chose the ideal fit for me. My suggestion is to correlate your exact measured waist size at the height of the rise and don't worry about the " give " in the denim (sanforized only) …Hope that makes a little sense, it's a little more complicated than the usual 8,10,12,14 etc that we are used too
Perhaps you have your 777s already? -
Has anyone owned.tried the 555-01 and these? I'm looking for advice concerning the rise difference. I love all aspects of the 555-01 fit except the rise. I'm sure i'm gonna have a crotch blow-out sometime soon as I prefer my jeans to sit on my hips and not pulled up under my armpits grandad style Would the 777 offer a similar fit but with a more 634S-esque rise?
My dream would be a 555 model with medium rise but I presume that's not gonna happen (Giles? ) -
@bertoni the rise on the 555 isn't high, it's a mid rise as far as I can tell & what does the jeans being pulled up high have to do with a blow-out? u sound about as craqzy as me right now, hahahaha
@Lucifer if a retailer picks up this cut or if someone pre orders a bunch it might happen, otherwise I don't think stealthy seams is really G$ cup of tea, but wtf do I know just early morning chatting. how's bizness @Lucifer ? the world seems to be going to hell in a handbasket

The world seems, indeed, to be heading for Ragnarok!
Life for me personally is good though, been working my ass of the last few years, getting more tattoos, traveling more! And you? all good? Long time!

I've been working as little as possible, watching my children grow up, getting no tattoos in recent years as my skin has gotten weak & my tolerance to pain greatly diminished, but I plan on traveling more in 2016 & hopeful to run in an actual race or 2 as I've been forced to take better care of myself by the wife
stay well @Lucifer I always had a thing for fallen angels & rebels

Your life sounds more constructive than mine I do agree that getting tattoos grows more painful for each and every one I get, I had this notion that I "would get used to it", complete rubbish..
You should head on over to the cold north where I reside on your travels! Lots of nice places to run in the wild, and the weather is… temperate.

Not crazy, but saggy balled maybe?! I dunno, compared to my 634S worn in the same place on my hips, the 555 hangs uncomfortably low in the crotch area. Maybe it's more obvious because they're more fitted in the top block, but the stress on the crotch area is gonna cause problems in the long run and I don't want to have to send the fuckers off for repairs every ten minutes
-
seen all my repairs on my 555 02 . . . so u might have a point . . .or it just might be the way some of us are built, walk, & move around. I repair jeans in the inner thighs & knees all the damn time regardless of the cut just because of how I'm built & the amount of time I spend crawling around asking for forgiveness, hahahaha
either way I'm watching to see which pair you go with

I'm excited for this new run. I grew out of my 21oz Beatle Busters (they were always a bit too tight), but despite them being my favorite pair of denim I always felt like the rise was a little high for me, and they weren't tapered enough after having them hemmed.
I think these will be a jackpot
