THIS OR THAT?

Surely the right answer is both?
I personally vote for the UHRs. Especially as Haraki has broken another loom, and they're possibly going to be discontinued.
@Giles's quote is great. But my aberrant brain's wiring means choosing between several similar options is uniquely difficult.

As an owner of both I vote for the UHR's, my personal favourite IH denim.
-
25oz!!! They dark as feck, the UHR is too purple for you.
-
Can't answer the question until I know what you are looking for in denim & how tightly you size& how often you wash/soak & all that jazz @Akuma no uta
21/23 has a bit more character where the denim seems a little hairy. they are the most brutal of the IH denims I've tried as far as the cardboard/tin man/c-3po factor. If you into Iron Heart history the denim was original done for the 5th year anniversary & at the time was kind of a big deal. This denim was my 1st pair of Iron Hearts in a size 38 so many moons ago so you can see where I'm leaning
25oz denim breaks in pretty quickly & I hear people say they become like sweatpants if sized correctly. I have seen some amazing pairs worn over a long period of time which required no repairs (again might be sizing/body type) so if you want a pair of heavy jeans which break in quickly these might be more up your alley. UHRs are a bit more of an investment of time with the soaking & all that . . . second thought, with your washing issues 25oz might be more up your alley
nice thread idea

Unsanforized 18oz. Do it.
Though UHR- I like them too.
-
I back steelworker on this.
-
18oz is not available in the 634 cut. I wanna add the 19oz
-
25oz is amazing, from the brutality at the start to the heavy softness once broken in. Every time I put mine on it's a pleasure.
-
I love the 25 oz and I have no experience with the UHR, but the potential extinction of such a killer denim as the UHR might push me in that direction if I was in your position. You can always get the 25 oz.

I'm going to try and breath life into this thread as it is a good idea and I have an appropriate question to pose.
I want (need) some light blue chambray work shirt action. Should I go classic (IHSH-21ind) or new fangled (IHSH-133)?
Hit me.
I have the 13 and the 133.
The 133 is beautiful. The lighter fabric is so much more versatile imo
-
^ Cheers for that. Did you XL or XXL in that? I notice G takes XL and I usually size up one from him, but the XL measurements look good for me…
I was an xl and the fit was spot on for me
-
Plus you can always get the 21 separately in the future. The fabrics of the 13 (which, as I understand it, is what the 21 is made from) and 133 are so different in terms of weight and texture that you could easily justify having both to the Mrs [emoji851]
The 133 is a must have imo

The weight isn't a big factor either way. And I'm inclined to agree with Cutty that the 6oz will be versatile, (easy to wear a vest over amongst other things).
With regards to the wife, I think she's given up. I've got my hands on an indigo 62 to go with my indigo 68 recently. She thinks they're the same shirt [emoji854]

so atm. i'm in a comfortable situation where i can chose between 3 different work offers…honestly i'm not really sure though what to do ^^
had 3 job interviews in december and after all 3 turned out to be positive, i've went to my actual boss, told him about'em and asked him what he has in mind for me and my career in the actual company (the company i'm with for 3.5 years now).
since the first project is almost completely done, i want to know what's next, so that's why i'm in the situation i'm in now
now i have one good external offer, where they offer me the same position i'm in now (construction engineer working on site) but with an financial upgrade of 20k a year (compared to now) and with an awesome project right in the hard of the city i'm living in (6min. from my door to the office, 10min. to construction site). the company itself is way smaller than the one i'm in now but the people owning it and the guy which could be my project manager all seemed super friendly and cool. besides that, the company really cheered for me and really want to be a part of their team.
the 2nd external offer is a great office where i handed in my papers myself (the other papers where handed in from a head hunter). so today i just heard back from them and that they want to invite me for a 2nd and final interview (which is where i get to know all the details about their offer). some ex-colleagues are working there already and the company itself works with the exact same programs and systems as i do now, so the change wouldn't be that big as well.
the 3rd and last offer, which i received last week, is from my actual company. at first, which was last year, they didn't had a upfollowing project for me to work on.
they offered me my 2nd promotion (from construction engineer to jr. project manager) in the 3.5 years i'm with them now. the difference here though would be, that i'd be responsible for a site worth of something close to 14mio. (which is a good size while starting with the project manager job) and my first own team. the pros would be that i already know the whole company, i already know the guys i just "have to know", i'd get to keep my 9 week vacation for this year (4.5weeks overtime during the last 3.5 years), i'd get the promotion inside the company i'm working for a "long" time now, i'd get a raise and i'd be able to prove myself and take it from there.so what would jesus (or you guys) do? ^^
since it's the first time i have to decide about this, being 29 and in the first real job ever, i thought i should get back to you guys and share my thoughts with you.
so thanks for getting back in advance or even for reading this...
much love
