Did you ever get around to the DIY overdye? @fayna
unfortunately not, just ran out of time this winter, I have to be back to work in 2 weeks now and with the DWC starting in 6 weeks it's going to go to the bottom of the long to do list, maybe one day

Great thread guys, the fades are amazing.
Could someone please comment on sizing for these when compared to 634S? I'm between a tagged 33 and 34 in 634S, waist measurement around 33.5 is perfect. Would be awesome if someone can measure the waist of their tagged 33 or 34.
Thanks!

@univibe88 - based on the shrink that some people got, especially after a machine wash, that sounds like a good plan - especially considering the 36 in the SEXIH22 are all sold out From what I remember Kiya saying though is that the taper is more pronounced on the 21oz version, so you should expect the leg opening to be bigger on the SEXIH22 no matter what, even after shrinkage.
-
Thanks for the quick reply! Yup, the 36s are sold out - hence trying to talk myself into the 38s. I also noticed the leg opening is larger, especially as I move up to the 38. I'm also looking at the SEXIH22-301s. 36 and 38 are available (seems the waist is an inch larger?) but the rise is so low…
-
The SEXIH22 301 ran especially low in the rise compared to the other 301s - I have the 301S in a 38 and the fit is very tailored but doable - the SEXIH22 301version would be WAY too low for me.
Remember, the 20oz is loomstate and will shrink a bunch - the 21oz is already one washed and will stretch out a ton so the measurements will be hard to compare apples to apples simply based on the charts.
I would be a 36 in the 21oz 633 and I would get the 38 in the 20oz loomstate version.
I think the 38 would actually be a good option for you in the 20oz LHT 38 - the denim won't stretch quite as much as the 21oz will anyways, so you may be able to keep a fit that you like for longer. Do you have any other Iron heart jeans?
If all else fails and they don't work for you, they will be my size and we can work something out lol

@univibe88 if the 633 21oz fit you perfectly, and you could stand to have them stretch a bit, I'd say go with the 21 oz flagship denim first. It really is a great year round fabric.
I do love the LHT denim though, so I know it's a hard decision to make! If it was up to me, and it was my first IH purchases, I would get the 633 in the 21oz and then get the 666-19L from giles since they are one washed so you know exactly what you are getting in terms of sizing. But in reality, you can't go wrong with any of them! Be sure to ask the folks at SE any questions about if they think the SEXIH22 633 would work for you - they are always very honest to my questions and are very helpful!.

Just a quick question about the following jeans:
Self Edge x Iron Heart 633s-II Indigo/Indigo Jeans
I own a pair of 634S 21OZ in size 33 that fit me perfect.
What size do you guys recon I should buy for the 633s? I never owned a pair of non-sanforised denim before so I don't really know what to expect.
-
Best bet is measure the 634s and compare with SE measurements for 633's. Remember they will shrink down a couple of inches in waist and lenght
-
Probably size 33, but Spitfiredealer is right that you should measure first. This is for two reasons, first- the 21 oz denim stretches a lot, so your pair that fits perfectly may not match the IHUK size charts still. Second, you should measure them the Self Edge way, which is similar, but not the same as the IH way. That variation could make a significant difference in what size will work best.
That said, the double indigo denim isn't especially complicated and shouldn't intimidate you; as Giles said on the product page for the 634S-II, "you will get about 1" shrinkage in the waist and the same in the inseam, the waist will stretch back out to pre-soak/wash size over time - so if they fit you as you like them pre-soak/wash, then that's your size."
