selling gear sucks, but losing weight means you will probably be around longer to enjoy . . . you know, life

Here's a fit pic for one of the last few tag 28's (NB–the waist actually measured 29.8 on this pair):
EDIT: deleted fit pics
Pretty excited, since this is my first pair of IH (hopefully not the last!) Obviously they need a hemming, but I think I came about as close to nailing the fit as possible!

I agree - nice fit and welcome to the (Iron Heart) club!

How much stretching are you guys seeing in the thigh?
-
^it will probably depend on how much stress it's under… The heavy stitching along the side seem allows for some Inherent give, and the fabric should give about 1/4 inch I expect, especially in larger sizes that have more fabric to stretch.
Anyone have these that could help this dude out??

Thanks man, really appreciate the insight! I think 1/4 inch is probably all I need, 634 fit is slightly too baggy for me and I thought these might be too tight!

No problem dude - I had a Pair of Beatle Busters that went from 12.8 to 13.185 in the thigh after consistent wear, so that's closer to .5 inch in total thigh stretch. If you are worried about the thigh, just make sure you get the 555-01 or the 555s-BLK (like this thread) since they stretch a lot - the 555-02 have an amazing denim but the thighs and leg stretch overall is much less forgiving. Hope that helps! Post pics when you decide/get your new jeans!

Thanks again Adam! I was really interested in the SBG and 18oz raw denim (555-02) for this fit, I have both the flagship indigo and black in 634 fit already >:(. Will go for the SBG once its back in stock for size 34!

I think @madmonday might be able to help you get into some SBG (555-03 sz 34) while you wait for a fresh restock

At least 2 months later, and wow. All I can say is: not only did I nail the fit, but y'all nailed the jeans. Consider me IH fam from here on out.
May post pics later…I only wish you guys had plans to do the 25's in this fit, but I'll deal.

Who's gonna size down? :)….will get these !

So after 4-and-a-half months of wear, I figure it's time for some pics and retrospectives.
To give some background: I'm a not-that-tall, terribly skinny guy (we're talking 5'7", 125 lbs. since high school) who's had issues finding clothes that, for lack of a better term, don't fit me like a pair of clown trousers. The only other thing I have that's remotely close is a pair of Levi's 511s (skinny with stretch fabric), which I have kept closely dear because dammit, I don't see too many clothes that fit me ideally.
So I've tried to re-do my wardrobe as of the last year-and-a-half or so, and I've still continued having trouble with other clothes, but especially jeans. Quality jeans, that is; none of this pajamas-with-rivets nonsense I've had to deal with. Thing is, I also like heavy clothes…which aren't usually built for skinny people. (Especially Iron Hearts. So many beefcakes in the fit pics.) Anyways, after a few pairs of jeans that were dud fits, I learned my lesson and did my research, taking painstaking care on measurements, until I found something that would be close enough to a fit to take a shot--the 555-BLKs. Now, I'm not exactly a big person, but I always liked a bit of rise on my jeans. I may have to put a more open mind on that soon enough.
These are pics after 4-and-a-half months of wear--fit pics to follow:
I also noticed about a week ago that the buttons have started "fading," if you will. Love it. X3
Me want honeycombs. So all in all–love 'em; I understand what the Iron Heart rave is all about. Things I wasn't crazy about--these pants have stretched a bit in the top block (any more and I might well have a case of diaper butt going on), and the knees have bagged some, but aside from that they've been wonderful all the same. In hindsight, I probably could have gotten away with sizing down 1 more for a 27, but hey...it's all a learning process.
I'll post some fit pics in a bit to get some input on what's next--my clothing budget ain't exactly huge, but I'm a fan of saving if it means I can use it for something I really want.
On another note:
@Giles:We're doing the 777 in 25oz…....
If the size is right, then the price is right!
-
Cont'd (now with added IHTB-01 goodness–it's been tapered some):
So I'm thinking, for my frame, a 777 would probably be the next best thing…in which case I'll be saving for the aforementioned 25 oz. Low-rise jeans scare me, but screw it; if I have to send a few back to get a good fit, then so be it. I'd have taken a Devil's Fit by now, but everything past the thighs is too wide to fit me properly. C'est la vie.
