IH-634-XHS - 25oz Selvedge Denim Straight Cut Jeans - Indigo
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone! Day three was the first day I got back on my bicycle. Wasn't too painful. Little bruises on my hip bones. The one thing I'm not in love with is the really tight hip pocket openings. I'm trying to stretch out the right so I can keep my phone where I'm used to.
I'm loving these, though. Definitely some next level $&*+!

These jeans do look amazing, and the measurements are very good for me. I just couldn't see myself wearing these in Thai heat, and I loved how the 21oz sanforized felt so soft and comfy straight away. One for the future I think, especially if my future lies in cooler Europe.

Does everything that has these like the fit? How do them compare comfort wise to the regular 634?

@richardjohn22 - here is a cool breakdown that was just released of the different fits and how they differ: http://www.ironheart.co.uk/cuts/index.html
Based on experience of my 634-19L and the 666-UHR, the fit from the knee down is somewhat similar, but what is MUCH different is Rise and Thigh. The 666 has more of a contemporary "regular" rise in my mind, wile the 634 is on the "mid" to "lower" side, especially in the back rise. The 634 is also cut a big larger in the thighs and does not really begin to lightly taper until slightly below the knee, while the 666 features a slightly slimmer upper thigh that begins to taper "towards" the knee and then from the knee to the hem in a similar manner as the 634. Every variation of the cuts with different denims are shaped slightly different, so you are sure to be able to find the perfect blend for you.
Some of the most forgiving variations of the 666 are the Superblack, UHR and the XHS, while the 21oz version and 18oz version seem to be a bit more "snug" throughout. Obviously the idea of "snug" will change based on your desired waist size, but this has been my experience. Since you just got the 555S, if you were to want a 634 to fit similarly, the DD version and the XHS version are a nice steeping stone from the 555 to the 634 - if you want a true 634 (1966) cut, the 634S and 634-BLK versions will be more "snug" until their stretch out.
